Tests show video people counting achieves over 98% accuracy. This is how it's done anonymously. Overhead closed-circuit television camera, or IP camera, tracks people's movements. The camera connects to a people counter which accurately detects and records how many people pass through the counting zone. The people counters send back data over Wi-Fi, Internet, IoT, IP, Ethernet, RS485 or RS232. Counts can be combined with live sales data in a POS database, giving real-time sales conversion figures. Wide entrances and areas are handled by linking several cameras across the ceiling. The embedded video server lets you view live video footage alongside the people counts, so you can accurately verify, and configure, the system over the internet. Once set up, counts alone can be sent over the network to save bandwidth. Replay counting videos for off-site commissioning.

    "Great software for occupancy monitoring"

    Pros: I use this software for occupancy monitoring across 20 locations.
    I had many cameras installed so it's great that I didn't need to buy any extra sensors to run this solution. The accuracy is good, especially after their AI update. Works on any IP camera with RTSP support.

    Cons: Calibration was tricky at the beginning. There were some software installation issues but their support quickly resolved everything.

    Overall: Recommended for anyone looking for reasonably priced IP camera counting/occupancy solution for people or vehicles.

    Pros: was easy to set up and configure both enter and exit lines.
    was easy to set up with gmail for daily reporting
    Has an easy to use API and webhooks

    Cons: was only able to send the daily report to one email

    Overall: Very good.
    For the price it is amazing
    We looked at many different vendors to find a people counting solution, and this one came in at the best cost and had the most features. This product is easy enough to use that I was able to "set it and forget it" but has enough features that I will keep on playing and labbing with it.

    Pros: The people counting and car counting feature is unique and works surprisingly well, heat maps and recording are also supported.

    Cons: No Linux version supported , no Mac version supported

    Overall: Great, recommended for small and medium businesses and individuals!
