About BugTape
BugTape is a hosted error-monitoring and debugging platform for web applications. It collects user-submitted reports, uncaught browser errors, failed or stalled requests, and server-side exceptions, then groups related events into issues. Issues can include DOM-based browser replay (not video), network activity, console output, stack traces, and release context to help developers reproduce failures. Node.js and Python SDKs capture server errors. A Swift package in alpha captures handled errors on iOS and macOS. Teams can triage issues in BugTape or connect an MCP-compatible coding agent to retrieve ranked issues, inspect a reproduction bundle, and report work status with a pull-request reference. When a resolved issue reappears in a later release, BugTape can reopen it as a regression. The service helps development teams investigate problems in web apps and APIs.
