"Would not recommend" Edited 2025-12-09
Pros: The peer to peer software program was reasonable, but still had several issues. Bidding for Good offers certain specs for the art that you can upload to your homepage but they are inaccurate and so it takes several attempts at uploading various files of different sizes before you can find something that works. This problem has been ongoing for years and is still not resolved.
Cons: As others have said, the customer service and tech support are really bad. The product is also full of glitches and bugs that have not yet been worked out. Due to a software glitch, they overcharged several of our donors. It took weeks to resolve and almost a year before the glitch was fixed. There were several other problems and inconsistencies. In our auction, sometimes the opening bid price would calculate correctly and sometimes it would not. Several of the customized reports that you can run at the end of the auction did not work at all, such as the disbursement report which tells you amount and date of payouts to your organization. They also charge very high fees to use their platform and many of our donors were upset about having to pay fees on top of the money they are already donating to our organization.
Overall: I would not recommend using Bidding for Good to run an auction or an in person event. They need some time to work out the kinks and make some upgrades.

"Typical Corporate Money Grabbers" Posted 2023-10-26
Pros: Site was okay. Did its job. It’s what I’d expect when paying $950 for a website for once year, nothing special.
Cons: They automatically charged us $950 for a second year or use when we stated we were only signing a one year contract. They stated that they notified us that they reached out 60 and 45 days prior, which is an absolute lie as there is no messages in any stated inboxes from the point of contact email.
Overall: Terrible company, I hope they read this and understand they are taking away $950 from a pediatric cancer fundraiser.

"Great auction platform" Edited 2023-05-11
Pros: Easy donor thank yous, good reporting, easy to use overall, easy check out, great online to bid sheet features.
Cons: Shipping label feature worthless, tech support poor, knowledge base could have better instructions.
Overall: Used for four auctions and overall had good results. Some improvements are needed with tech support.

"Bidding for Good renewal trap" Posted 2023-02-20
Pros: It is a pretty good platform for an online auction and ticket sales. Easy to use. I liked that you can use a phone version at the event.
Cons: Biggest issue is that if you do not cancel the subscription 45 days ahead of your annual initial purchase date, even if you say you only want it for one year, they automatically charge you over $800 again. Also, there was a major technical glitch that automatically upped people's bids on them. Bidding for good never figured it out. Luckily, our bidders were very kind and took it in stride except one that will never give us her email address again.
Overall: I am so upset they charged me for a second year when it was clear I only wanted it for one event. I had used the platform a few years before and it was easy to learn so good for an understaffed organization but not worth it with the dated designs, technical glitch and tiny renewal trap.
