    "Solid PBX Product"

    Edited 2023-02-03

Pros: Customizable and scalable at a very reasonable cost. Easy to deploy on a nearly any type of hardware.

Cons: SBC's required when hosted in the cloud (versus NatPass equivalent); no multi-factor authentication support.

Overall: A solid product for those looking for an inexpensive but scalable PBX solution that you can spin up easily locally or in the cloud.

Pros: Incredibly easy to deploy on-site, very easy to configure and a lot of advanced call flow features that allow for the ability to support any customer.

Cons: No outbound fax integration, no option for monthly payments.

Overall: We have had a wonderful experience with 3CX and have migrated over 20 customers to the platform in our private datacenter.

"Rock Solid - The 3CX QA is awesome"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: I like that everything works, that when there is an issue, it has always been an operator issue, not a 3CX issue, and the documentation and support forums are awesome. As someone who does not turn to tech support personnel as a first option, having all of the resources I need, along with the experience of rock solid performance from 3CX, I find this product to be awesome.

Cons: Not a fan of the dealer model. It was changed recently, and while SIP service is not the main focus of my business, I like having 3CX in my toolbox. The new model appears to be designed to cull and force resellers to convert more.

Overall: If you are reseller or end user, I know you will find 3CX to meet all the your needs. It is solid, easy to use, great documentation, and when support is needed, they are available. Great Customer Experience.

    "Good but not perfect"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Easy to setup and use.
Easy to integrate with some third parties like Office 365.
    Easy for building call flows.
Allows use of API calls when programming call flows to integrate into other apps.
    Great Price.

Cons: Support to some phones has been removed.
SMS new settings are not as flexible as the old ones.
You need a Phone router (Specific phones have it) or a computer to use as SBC to connect the phones to the server. Unless installing 3CX in an on-prem server.
The mobile app keeps unregistering after some time.

Overall: Overall is good. I have very few complaints. More positives than negatives and the pricing are just the best thing there is.

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: 3CX is easy to install as well as administration, as a PBX system over all it works very well. The pricing seems to fit for the product.

Cons: Not much to say here, I think the design could use a little help, but over all works great.

Overall: 3CX is an excellent choice not only for small business but for large business. Easy to install, Priced Right.

    Pros: Easy to setup.
    Great end user experience.
Administrative interface is feature rich and easy to navigate.

Cons: The new SMS routing could use some work. The ability to send an SMS to a different extension than the DID voice would be ideal.

Overall: 3CX has been a huge cost saver for me and several colleagues. They are always updating and ensuring security is top of mind.

    "3CX On-Prem Experience"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Full management and configuration on the admin end.
Customizable options (Interface, voicemail, blf, etc.)
Regularly updated and patch notes readily available.

Cons: Custom configurations/templates are not supported by 3CX team.
Phones can and will be phased out, making legacy devices obsolete. (Its a part of life sadly)
Onsite installs can be more finicky and may need reboots.

Overall: It was a learning curve but I have been more and more comfortable rolling out new installs and testing new functions/services. So far I have been content with the applications, devices, and support from 3CX team for any questions/issues I am experiencing.

    "Best PBX for costs"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Over good system for the money. They are constantly adding and improving items. There are better systems for larger enterprises however those costs are usually 10-20x higher.

Cons: Sometimes they make changes without think of all the potential issues, however when this is the case it’s usually caught in alpha and beta builds so it usually isn't an issue.

Overall: Overall we like using 3cx and supporting it. We’ve been running it for over 8 years now. There have been a lot of changes for the platform with most of them good.

    "3CX - Phone Company thought"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Ease of access and use, setup, administration, features. The overall product has a great deal of features and you can do most things with it. They are always updating the software to stay top of the line and we went from using the system to actually selling and supporting it for clients.

Cons: None, 3CX support is confusing as you go to your partner. Logging for users.

Overall: We onboarded 3CX during Covid as our existing phone system wasn't that robust. As an IT provider, we ended up offering it to existing clients and now have two dozen or so clients on the solution, all happy, all working perfectly fine.
Recommend looking at cloud hosting for this product and going through a partner channel where the support is near instant. Use a local company to support it!

    "3CX: Best VoIP"

Pros: Unlimited growth capacity and no per user cost with every feature included for every user has completely disrupted the industry allowing for customers of all sizes to get the absolute most advanced technology in an easy to use package. Thank you!!

Cons: Only one source of Music on Hold when using one license for multiple businesses; however separate licenses networked together Is only a few hundred a year!

Overall: 10/10!!! This makes daily communication so easy, with the web video upgrades it works better than teams or zoom! I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend this solution to anyone looking to buy a phone system for the next decade.

"The Best PBX In The Industry"

    Posted 2023-02-03

    Pros: Easy To Use.
    Exceptional Security Features.
    Great Update Schedule.
    No Text-Based Config.
    Intuitive Interface.

Cons: A few small quirks, such as not being able to have different hold music based on DID.

Overall: 3CX is the best PBX platform in the industry. Coming from Asterisk it is a night and day difference. Every aspect of the system is user friendly, easy to navigate, and works exactly as you would expect. It is packed full of features and is very easily extendible by writing call flow apps.

    "Great Software"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: The software is easy to use, and very configurable. With the enterprise license you can do what you need to do with the phones to make it nice and customized.

Cons: Company changes pricing fairly often since v16
"Free" tier is basically being phased out.

Overall: Overall 3CX is a great software, but I'm not a HUGE fan of the company. Not speaking from an end-user standpoint, but from a partner stand-point. End-user point of view: It's easy to use, you don't HAVE to use the web interface but you can and it works well.

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: I love the ease of use of 3CX. The GUI and layout is simple and easy to navigate. Features that one would expect out of a PBX can be easily found without much difficulty.

Cons: Pricing model/business model has changed more than twice since I started using it. Fortunately its Pros outweigh this con.

Overall: Just better than any other PBX I've used. And my job is to use and sell PBX systems. My customers are always happy when I set up their system, and they too find it easy to use. It just works.

"Excellent PBX/Phone system solution to hit the ground running day one"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Takes the complexity out of normal phone system deployments. Gone are the days of command line installs/changes just to make simple alterations to configuration.

The solution is built with the reseller in mind leaving plenty of upsell opportunities to provide customers features they didn't know they could have without the "enterprise" price.

Cons: Sometimes there is a tendency to leave behind the ways of "old phone system usage". It's hard to reconcile with users who have been interacting with their phone system a certain way for 30 years and have them update to new technology, sometimes they just want the new system to act like the old.

Overall: 3CX has been our go to PBX solution for our partners. Ease of use, great documentation, training resources, features, pricing, and integrations. You cant go wrong with 3CX!

"3CX --my experience of the last 4 years"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: It works and works well.
I can count on 3cx to provide my customer reliable communications. The software is easy to use, has lots of features and allows for the flexibility that businesses need in today's work environment.

Cons: Updates often happen without notice, especially if you are hosting with 3CX. Documentation follows, but after the update has been done, which can make for a frustrating support situation....prime example of V18 release 5 to release 6. If you are hosting in your own environment, you have more control.

Overall: Overall I would recommend 3CX to any customer and MSP that is looking to offer a feature rich, reliable communications platform to their customers.

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: Powered by AWS, 3CX is our preferred VOiP partner. Their platform is easy to use and cost effective for us and our clients.

Cons: Their interface could stand to have a few updates but overall, even that is pretty good compared to others.

Overall: We use 3CX internally and refer out to clients as well. The referral/resale process is lightweight and easy.

Pros: With paying for just simultaneous calls instead of extensions it allows for a lot of flexibility in setup. Users are able to customize their phones as long as you are running a supported phone.

Cons: Some permissions could be a little more granular when providing management access.

Overall: 3CX simply works for customers with ease of management and control. It is flexible to allow users to work in office or remote.

    "Enterprise PBX"

    Posted 2023-02-03

Pros: 3CX is straight forward and easy to use and implement. Users are easily added and are able to provision their own devices with little to no help. Calls have good quality and testing any changes is accomplished with good documentation from 3CX.

Cons: Changing the interface with each update - locations of buttons and features are in new places often.

Overall: This PBX has been deployed at multiple hotels and businesses from 3 extensions up to 500 and we have minimal overhead with troubleshooting and changes are quick and easy. It supports all of the features that are requested and has been consistently able to adapt to any deployment environment.
