CoolCroco is a free image viewer built for one job: getting through a shoot
without waiting.
It decodes a whole folder of RAW files on background workers and holds them in
memory, so once the first pass is done you move through hundreds of frames
instantly, forwards or backwards, with no re-decoding and no cache thrashing.
Cull with one key. A files a photograph into an Approved folder, X into Rejected,
and Ctrl+Z puts it back. Nothing is ever deleted - files are only moved beside the
originals. Rate from 1 to 5, written as XMP where Lightroom, Bridge and Capture One
read it.
It reads RAW from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Leica,
Hasselblad and Phase One through LibRaw, plus HEIC, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and WebP, up to
100,000 photographs in one folder. It also finds duplicates and bursts, and
searches a shoot by what is in the pictures, entirely on your own computer.
