Best Flowchart Software for Mermaid

Astah Professional is an all-in-one modeling tool for software and system design, developed by Change Vision, Inc. It supports UML 2.x, ER diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFD), flowcharts, requirement diagrams, CRUD, and mind maps in a single tool. Unlike drawing tools, Astah creates models: a change to a model element is reflected in every diagram that uses it, so your diagrams stay consistent. AI features include AI Chat Copilot and AI-assisted code reverse engineering, which use your own API key for OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or an OpenAI-compatible service. A local MCP server lets external AI agents work with your Astah models. Conventional reverse engineering of Java, C#, and C++ code is also included. Astah Professional is a desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with a bundled Java runtime, so no separate Java installation is required. A 20-day free trial is available. Latest version: 12.0 (released July 15, 2026).
