About

YouShould is a platform for creating interactive digital passes, trails, and challenges that encourage people to explore places and complete real-world activities. Organizations can design experiences like food trails, brewery tours, scavenger hunts, convention challenges, and city exploration programs using simple checklists that participants complete as they visit locations or finish tasks. Activities can be verified in multiple ways, including QR code scans, GPS location checks, NFC taps, PIN codes, quizzes, and photo uploads. To keep participants engaged, YouShould includes built-in tools such as points, rewards, leaderboards, messaging, and sweepstakes. Organizations can also offer paid premium experiences and use analytics to track participation, engagement, and completion rates. Everything runs directly in a web browser, so participants can join without downloading an app.

About

Your Next Tours is a phone-based audio tour guide system for live guided tours. The guide speaks into the mobile app and the phone becomes a local broadcast server. Participants scan a QR code and listen in their own phone's web browser with their own headphones; they do not install an app or create an account. There are no receivers or headsets to rent, charge or disinfect. A small portable Wi-Fi router creates the local network, so no internet connection is needed during the tour, and there is no fixed listener limit in the app. Optional live translation lets participants follow the guide in their own language. Guides can push slides to participants' screens, and participants can raise a hand to ask a question. Before and after the tour, the web panel manages tour templates, multi-day itineraries, check-ins, surveys, ratings and statistics. Tour operators get a team dashboard with seats, analytics and an activity log. The website and guide panel are available in 38 languages.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It's very cheap, but there aren't many great features and the UI and UX is really poorly designed. I can see where some organizations may find utility, but there are better solutions out there. This looks "hacked together" with very little thought behind user experience.

Cons

  • The interface is very clunky and hard to use. There is very little support available, and to sign up for a pass requires you to create an account with YouShould.
