About

TTerm for Linux is a native Linux terminal emulator designed for Linux desktop systems and devices. It delivers a high degree of configurability, session control, screen-enhancing capabilities, productivity tools, and one of the widest ranges of terminal coverage available in a single package. Built for Linux and explicitly supported for Ubuntu, SUSE, OpenSUSE, Red Hat, and CentOS distributions, TTerm for Linux helps users connect to a broad range of host systems without needing to switch products for different emulations. It includes more than 80 terminal emulations and supports terminals and host manufacturers such as ANSI, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Unix, Siemens, Stratus, Televideo, Unisys, Wyse, DEC, Tandem / HP NonStop, and more. TTerm for Linux ships with industry-standard encryption and supports SSH, Telnet, Telnet via SSL2 / SSL3 / TLS tunnel, Telnet via SSH tunnel, serial connections, HP Network Services Virtual Terminal, and IPv6.

About

For developers and system administrators, it’s a necessity to frequently log on to Linux servers from a Windows computer. Unlike Linux OS, Windows does not have a native ssh client. Putty is the most used freeware ssh client for Windows OS. It supports telnet and ssh protocols. One constraint with Putty is that it does not have support for tabbed windows. Putty Connection manager is developed to solve this problem but it has got a lot of issues in using the utility. Terminals supports not just telnet and ssh but also RDP, VNC, and RAS connections. You can save the login id and password of the remote servers and with a single click, you can connect to the server. You can create a group of servers and with a single click, you can open connections to all the servers added to the group. You can save multiple user credentials for the same server and can select the user name while connecting to the server.
