About

We've made it easy to sell on your existing website or blog, WordPress site, Tumblr blog & even your Squarespace site. Adding checkout to any of these platforms is a snap with our guides. Generally you'll either use our plugin or add some simple JavaScript to your website that turns any Simple Goods link to a payment modal when clicked. By default, Simple Goods creates a unique link and checkout page for each one of your products. This means you can start selling even without a website or blog. Just share your unique product link and you're done. Every product you create has a unique link. Share this link on Twitter and we'll automatically build a beautiful product card for your followers to view and ultimately click on and buy. The same is also true for Facebook. Share your link on your fan page or in a status update. We'll create a beautiful product preview for you.

About

Tumblr is so easy to use that it’s hard to explain. We made it really, really simple for people to make a blog and put whatever they want on it. Stories, photos, GIFs, TV shows, links, quips, dumb jokes, smart jokes, Spotify tracks, mp3s, videos, fashion, art, deep stuff. Tumblr is 511 million different blogs, filled with literally whatever. Turns out that when you make it easy to create interesting things, that’s exactly what people do. All those great, random blogs your friends send you, those are Tumblr blogs. We’ll help you find and follow blogs like that, and we’ll help other people find and follow yours. Once you follow a blog, all of its posts show up in your dashboard, just like you’d expect. See something great? Reblog it to your own blog. Add commentary if you like. Make it your own. Other people will do the same to your posts. That’s how you meet people here.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It all sounded good, the setup and login features were all laid out well. I previously thought this would be a good choice to sell digital products online. I was wrong.
  • This was so simple and easy for a beginner to understand, compared to other platforms out, however - IT DOESN'T WORK.

Cons

  • When I tested it in 2020, it worked. Now, It simply does not deliver the products to the customer's email as it should-even though everything on the admin side shows a successfully delivered product.
  • No customer service or email replies, and the payments go through but the product is not delivered! From mobile, the buttons appear one dimensional and unprofessional.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • You can have your blog up and running, and decent looking, well under an hour even without looking through the paid theme options. Tumblr lets you post anything from just pretty pictures to lengthy blog posts. Posts can be public, password protected, or entirely private, which makes it great to keep as a personal diary. Tags help organize your content and help you find other people's content.

Cons

  • Not really optimal for businesses and audience engagement compared to other platforms out there. If you're only posting images, Instagram would probably get more eyes on your photos. Wordpress offers far more customization than Tumblr if you want a more classic blog. If you're not using a premade theme, customizing your Tumblr blog can be a chore because it doesn't work the way you'd expect. There's a lot of garbage content on the site as well, and finding anything or standing out is an uphill battle.
