Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Open Source & Free to use. Good dashboard - makes it easier to manage. Highly configurable. Good scalability. Cons It has a steep learning curve and troubleshooting is not easy Needs better documentation with regular updates and support.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Setup is a breeze. Easily add firewall rules Easily add or remove users. Fast support and possibility to bring your own aws cloud etc when you are really scaling etc. So simple to setup and manage our databases. We've luckily not had to use the automated failover in production, but tested it rigorously before deploying. It couldn't be easier to manage and setup. The alert system is amazing as well. I am a scientist who has no formal training in computer science or databases. I needed to create a MySQL database to store a large amount of training data for a machine learning project. I found AWS to be overly complicated and overpowered for my needs. ScaleGrid offered an affordable solution with a web interface and very responsive support. I highly recommend them. Cons - it's a bit costly for minimum plan being 10$ It is costly for starters but if you are about to scale it makes sense to use it. I honestly don't have a single con for moving to ScaleGrid. It was so simple. It would be helpful to have a bit more documentation about how to manage backups, get more disk space, and use the web console. It is all probably self-evident to database gurus, but for non-experts like me, documentation would be very helpful.
