About
Postico is a database client. Postico can connect to a local PostgreSQL server running on your Mac, or to remote servers running on a different computer. If you want to install a local PostgreSQL server on your Mac, I recommend Postgres.app. Postgres.app starts a PostgreSQL server running locally on your Mac. The first time it starts it will automatically create a new data directory and set up an empty database. After a few moments, the server will be running and waiting for connections. Postgres.app can't start when another PostgreSQL server is already running on your computer. If you run into problems, make sure to deactivate or uninstall other PostgreSQL installations. Reboot your computer after uninstalling! To connect to a PostgreSQL server with Postico, you must first create a favorite. A favorite contains parameters for connecting to a server. Some connection parameters are optional.

About
Seqora is a desktop database client for developers, database administrators and data engineers working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite. It combines a SQL editor with completion, snippets and query history; a data grid for viewing and editing rows; data imports and exports; and a read-only ER diagram. Data changes can be staged for review before execution, and database connections support SSH tunnels and TLS. Pro adds schema design, comparison, history and drift tools, along with object pages for inspecting tables, indexes, sequences, functions, views and related objects. Its Visual EXPLAIN feature presents query plans as row flow and highlights execution details, while object pages provide information such as index usage and sequence capacity. Seqora is installed locally, works without a cloud account, and runs on Windows and macOS with Apple silicon. It offers a free tier and paid Pro plans.
