Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros So easy to get your images and logos inside PPT. I, and my colleagues, save so much time browsing around our mutual Dropbox folder looking for the right logo or pic. Pickit reminds me how easy it should have been all this time. Pickit is super easy to use, and intuitive. Setting it up was really quick and we've hardly had to do any training, as it's so user-friendly. I love the fact that we always know where to go to find the latest marketing material, and that it's always approved and curated for the different channels we use it for. Just super easy to set up. Super intuitive. And perhaps the best, it turned my Dropbox and Sharepoint structure into a full DAM system. Cons Their own image library is good but could be better. I would really like to see some more up to date images that feels modern to a startup company like ours. When I first started using Pickit, most of the integrations were for Microsoft, but recently they've added support for Google Slides and Docs, and there are also integrations for Dropbox, Adobe and a bunch of other services we use. The built in Stock library might be a bit limited but you can connect your existing plan from any of the larger stock images providers like Shutterstock.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Customizability is their superpower. It's a well-thought-out, well-engineered platform, but the real strength is how it adapts — to your specific needs today, and to your needs as they evolve. From the outset of our relationship with SCC we have had consistent support and been thoroughly pleased with all aspects of their product(s). We have enjoyed 22 years of working together with the SCC team now and can unreservedly recommend them for any DAM needs either for smaller shops or at scale. Their commitment to best-in-class support is unparalleled and deeply appreciated. We recently migrated from on-prem services to SCC-in-the-Cloud and the transition could not have been smoother. We use SCC both as our photo archive and to manage and send assignments to our photographers. It works, it always works, and most importantly, it works well. Over the many years we’ve used SCC, we’ve asked them to do more, change things and develop new solutions for us, and they’ve never disappointed. SCC works with us, not against us. Their support is excellent — they listen, understand our needs and work with us to solve problems. It’s a reliable system backed by people who genuinely care about making it work for their customers. I have worked with the same handful of people at SCC for about fifteen years, across three different companies. That kind of continuity is almost unheard of in enterprise software, and it is why the support is as good as it is. They know how our system is organized better than I do, and they remember decisions made years ago that nobody on our side wrote down. You reach a real person quickly, and because they already understand the publishing workflows the product sits in, they can usually diagnose and resolve an issue very fast. When you are running weekly publications on deadline, getting back up and running quickly is critical. They are very flexible with customization and have worked with us to build highly customized integrations into our workflow systems. The platform itself is boringly reliable, which is exactly what you want from the system holding the photo archive. Ingest and workflow automation are deep: hot folders, FTP and email ingest, wire and stock provider feeds, and proper handling of IPTC, XMP and EXIF. Love how the platform is customizable to our needs. It's user-friendly and it's great to have all of our digital assets available in one place. And SCC staff are quick to respond to issues and suggestions. Cons It's tough to come up with a list of cons when you're working with a thoughtful motivated team that addresses concerns or issues when they arise. The deep knowledge and understanding of everyone on the team leads to solutions, not unsolved issues. We are having trouble coming up with anything we’d like to see changed. If pressed, I might suggest tweaks to the forward-facing GUI for modernization, but this is nearly inconsequential given the performance of the product in Production. Honestly, none. And I’m a tough client. After many years of using SCC and regularly pushing them to improve, change and develop things for us, I can’t think of a genuine negative. When we’ve had an issue or needed something different, they’ve listened and worked with us to solve it. The interface shows its age and has a bit of a learning curve. It has a lot of capability, but it is not always intuitive or easy to find. Because of that, occasional users may not love it, while the photo editors who live in it tend to be pretty die-hard fans. Some times I wish it would be easier to view the different media types together, for comparison purposes. I know it can be done, but the resulting view is a bit clunky. And I totally understand why because each media type has different fields.
