Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros As small landlords who have been using Pay Your Rent for a year and a half, this has given us just the ticket to save us the headaches and time we were looking for at a very low cost. When we need answers or help, they're professional, fast and efficient in providing it. We also don't have to charge our renters an arm and a leg and PYR gives them the control and options they want! Zero complaints from our renters! The previous review from two years ago is outdated, we highly recommend!!! This is one of the very few companies that will report rent payments to the credit bureaus AND will work with small landlords who have as few as 1-2 apartments. The website does explain what to expect for processing times and fees. I wish it explained up front that landlords must send them a copy of the DEED to prove they own the property. Thats a bit absurd and causes long delays in setting up account. Nobody has their DEED handy. and there are other ways to prove ownership, such as property tax bills and records from the city, and/or mortgage records. Cons Getting set up took a little more effort than I liked but it has proven to be well worth it. The intake process for both landlords and tenants is unreasonably complicated and fraught with tech hurdles. Cant proceed to step 2 of data entry until the pope has blessed step 1, that kind of thing. They should just take all the intake data for both landlord and tenant accounts at once and then get back to either party if something doesn't look right,		Pros from Real Users Pros Rent Manager is user friendly and helps us keep a balanced book. Support is always incredibly helpful. Rent Manager makes it easy to keep track of properties, tenants, and day-to-day tasks. There are a lot of useful features, and once you get used to the system, it’s pretty straightforward. Rent Manager delivers great value for medium-to-large portfolios, though it’s pricey for small landlords—customer support is responsive but slower at month-end, and while the desktop version is powerful once you learn it, the mobile app still has occasional bugs and crashes; that said, tenant and rental management are excellent, with reliable rent collection and deep customization options. Incredibly smooth implementation process, really set me up to be able to go out on my own after the 3 months. Very good program for managing tenants and reports for the real estate management firm. easy to use. If you want great customer service that is what you will get. Not only are they quick to solve the issue but they go extra mile and are very patient and kind. user friendly and intuitive software. Boost your team's efficiency with a seamless, easy to use interface I really find texting to be huge, as it allows for seamless and fast communication with all of our tenants in the building, as well as other properties. Rent Manager provides clear oversight to those in management about what's going on with tenants and prospects, which means anyone can pick up where someone left off with full clarity. The ability to integrate with our leasing software is essential. The UI and graphical aspect of Rent Manager is easier to grasp and more straightforward than Yardi. The initial setup was also very easy. The system brings leasing, maintenance, accounting, reporting, and tenant communication into one easy‑to‑use platform. The search tools, workflows, and automation options save a tremendous amount of time. I also appreciate how smoothly it integrates with third‑party tools and how powerful the reporting features are. The IT person was very helpful and very polite. He went in to use my computer to double check to make sure everything was correct. It was.
