About

Passwork is a password manager built for security-conscious organizations, available as both a self-hosted (on-premise) solution and a secure cloud service. Developed and headquartered in Europe (Barcelona, Spain), Passwork meets GDPR, NIS2, ENS and other European regulatory requirements by design. The self-hosted version stores all passwords and credentials exclusively on your own server. Double-layer AES-256 encryption (server-side and client-side) with zero-knowledge architecture ensures your data stays within your infrastructure. For organizations seeking instant deployment without infrastructure overhead, Passwork Cloud provides a fully managed SaaS option. Hosted in secure data centers in Germany, the cloud platform operates on the same zero-knowledge model. Passwork is ISO/IEC 27001 certified. Both deployment options are trusted by enterprises for secure password sharing, privileged access management, and centralized credential governance.

About

RatelKey is a self-hosted secrets management platform for securely storing, accessing, and managing application secrets without the infrastructure complexity of traditional enterprise solutions. Secrets stay inside your own Burrow instance, while RatelKey provides authentication, access management, updates, and administration. It supports projects and environments, machine identities, role-based access control, IP restrictions, audit logs, canary secrets, encrypted backups, webhooks, SAML/OIDC SSO, SCIM provisioning, and CLI/SDK access. Burrow can run on Linux, Windows, macOS, or Docker, and applications continue retrieving secrets directly from your infrastructure even if the RatelKey control plane is unavailable. RatelKey is designed for teams that have outgrown `.env` files and scattered CI secrets but do not want to operate a complex secrets-management stack.

Pros from Real Users

Pros

  • Passwork works very well for our organization because we can host it on-premises and integrate it with SSO. This allows us to align the platform with our own security architecture and access policies. The browser extension makes credential autofill extremely convenient and saves time throughout the day. Managing and sharing passwords between teams is straightforward, while access permissions are easy to control and audit. We also highly value the detailed activity logs available for every password, which provide visibility into who accessed or modified sensitive information. Adoption has been remarkably smooth across the company, from technical teams to sales and administrative staff, with very little training required.
  • Easy to use, good password organization and permissions, and the ability to self-host. The browser extension is probably the feature we use the most, as we maintain more than a hundred websites and it makes accessing all those credentials very convenient.
• Self Hosted solution Offline installation and updates Good user and admin experience Great password sharing options Frequency of updates Audit log of access and changes to password entries
  • Passwork Cloud has been easy to use from the start. The interface is intuitive, and organizing credentials with vaults, folders, color labels, and tags is straightforward. I also appreciate the ability to add custom fields, view detailed activity logs and per-entry history, customize the workspace with an organization-specific URL and banner, and duplicate entries while retaining their metadata. The customer support team has also been responsive and helpful throughout our evaluation.
  • We have been using Passwork for quite some time, and it has become an essential part of our daily work. It provides a secure and well-organized way to manage shared passwords, ensuring that our entire team has access to the credentials they need without compromising security.
• Very good pricing and offers multi-year discounts Good user and admin experience Good documentation Great password sharing options Better password organization compared to Bitwarden (I hated Bitwarden's collection design) Can be run air-gapped and self hosted Zero-knowledge server encryption is optional Supports SAML SSO and LDAP integration Audit log of access and changes to password entries
  • - UI is simple yet effective - Browser extension works great - Fast - Excellent user support - Cost-effective
  • The UI is simple but still does everything expected from the Product. It has all the necessary advanced features which can cater from small businesses to large enterprises. We evaluated a few alternatives, but Passwork ticked every requirement. Highly recommended app for anyone looking for a secured and simple Password management tool.
  • Ease of implementation Intuitive use Many integrations Tracking password usage Possibility of installation in your environment
  • What I like the most about Passwork is that you can organize credentials/passwords into folders and subfolders for a neat logical structure and you can give access just to particular folders.
