Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like its cloud-based architecture, which facilitates secure access to information from anywhere, which is vital for quick decision-making. NetSuite also offers advanced customization, allowing the platform to be tailored to specific business needs. Its automation tools help improve operational efficiency, reducing time spent on manual tasks. NetSuite's e-commerce capabilities allow businesses to seamlessly manage their online presence. It supports functions such as order management, inventory tracking, and customer relationship management in e-commerce. I like NetSuite's ability to provide a complete view of the supply chain. As a user, I can track inventory levels, orders, shipments, and deliveries across multiple locations and channels. This has allowed me to optimize demand planning and production scheduling, which in turn has reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction. I have also found the integrated financial planning and reporting tools very useful. The platform provides a variety of customizable reports on various metrics and dimensions, including revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, budgets, and forecasts. These reports can be exported to PDF, Excel or other formats for further analysis or sharing. This has significantly improved our financial planning and reporting processes. NetSuite's automated data entry and integration capabilities are also notable. As a user, I can import data from various sources, such as bank sources, credit card statements, tax authorities or external providers. Plus, NetSuite can be integrated with other tools we use, like Salesforce, Shopify, or Gmail, to streamline workflows and data sharing. NetSuite, while an impressive platform, has its fair share of downsides. One of the most notable drawbacks to using NetSuite is its cost. As a user I have to pay an annual license fee which depends on the number of users and modules I choose. Additionally, there is a one-time implementation fee that covers the installation and configuration of the software. This can make NetSuite an expensive option for small businesses or startups. Also, it requires specialized skills and knowledge to be able to use it effectively and customize it to my needs, which can add to the cost. Another downside to NetSuite is that it can be overwhelming and confusing for first-time users. The platform has many features and options that can be difficult to navigate or understand. This can make it difficult to use and learn, especially for non-tech-savvy users. Also, it has some quirks and limitations that can be frustrating or inconvenient. For example, some fields or reports cannot be drilled down or filtered as I would like, while some processes or transactions require multiple steps or clicks to complete. Some features are also not available or supported by certain browsers or devices. Also, another thing I can't get over is that NetSuite can be slow or unreliable at times. The system can lag or hang when processing large amounts of data or running complex reports. You may also experience downtime or errors due to maintenance or updates. This can significantly affect my productivity and performance, especially when I need to access critical information or data. It becomes expensive and may not be affordable for small businesses or startups. Users must pay an annual license fee based on the number of users and modules they need, as well as a one-time implementation fee. Users may also incur additional costs for customization, integration, training, and support. It is difficult to use and navigate, especially for beginners or non-technical users. Users may find NetSuite overwhelming, complex or confusing at times. Users may also encounter issues with speed, performance, or bugs. Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Software has all of the features we need for invoicing and bills with much more available for those that need it. Relatively easy to get started importing customers and accounts. Interface is nice and easy to navigate. Referred by an associate this product was easy to learn but very deep. Friendly hints to set-up and we like the inventory tracking portions to manage our products. Multicurrency was a big reason we chose this product. Easy to set up and use, with a logical layout and processes. Covers all that is required to run a business smoothly. Useful reports and advantages such as product label printing and storage of documents. Returns and credits handled easily. Only took 15 minutes to import our data and get moving. Easy to do things and program is very fast. Honestly I can't believe how little they charge for running payroll. US$2 for each employee is a steal. All our numbers are accurate, so calculations seem proper. We really like this software and have been looking for something like it for a long time. Price is like other accounting programs but the more we use, the more things we find it does that others don't. Can track our sales orders and stock really well without overpaying for bigger ERP systems. Cons An initial issue with beginning balances import, but that was a csv file issue. More help guides would be useful to explain the settings. More live support for countries outside the USA. Would like to hide some menu options if we don't use them, thank you. UK VAT returns have to be made via third party bridging software. No UK payroll. Not much to dislike but adding more pop-ups to explain some of the features would be helpful. Takes a few more minutes to set it up and import your data but once that's done, it's worth it. Could use some training videos.
