Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros There are many positives with this program, the various features are nicely explained within the program and are easy to use. For example, the GANTT chart features and customization options provides a wonderful illustration of the tasks and overall course of the project. The user interface of the product is excellent and meets or exceeds other Microsoft branded products. It has helped my team stay on track with projects in our office, allows for us to see the trajectory of the next few months in a detailed way, and has several layouts for folks to choose what is the best for them. My favorite part of projects is its integration with other Microsoft products, since my office uses these exclusively. It enhances the value of Projects, Teams, etc since they all work seamlessly together! Microsoft Project allows firms to be in charge of all the procedures and operations that are conducted within the company. More so, Microsoft Project brings accuracy in terms of payments and costs management. Further, Microsoft Project concentrates on better cloud space, for projects and database. This program is great for the price that you pay for. It has all the features that you would need to create schedules, log time, manpower, cost to it like other programs for less cost. Microsoft Project is very user friendly and easy to pick up. It's great for creating and updating construction schedules. Cons I had access to Microsoft Project via my educational institution and I used this access for both academic projects and personal usage. That said my only real con for this program is the cost, the cost for this product is fairly high and the yearly subscription for the on-premise versions varies from several hundred to over a thousand which is cost-prohibitive to many smaller entities. There was a steep learning curve to the software, and I still feel like we are not utilizing it fully. There are lots of online forums and guides, but it is not as user friendly as I'd like it to be on its own. Microsoft Project is a stable and focused program for managing all operations, however, Microsoft Project requires a swift price control, to bring more clients. There is better management of operations using Microsoft Project, but credible price rates are vital. It's a bit of a learning curve using this program but once you get a hang of it then it's really easy to use and update. I don't really like the cost/accounting portion of Project. It may be helpful to some, but I prefer to keep the accounting portion out of my project schedule.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like Smartsheet’s flexibility in handling various type of workflows and projects. It also provides a well organized dashboard which makes project management easy. Has a wide range of features and capabilities, allowing users to easily keep track of tasks, assign resources, manage timelines and more. UI is intuitive and easy to use, and the data is easily accessible and customizable. Additionally, there's a wide range of integrations and third-party applications that allow users to extend their project management capabilities. The Smartsheet platform is incredibly easy to use. The training and onboarding process was simple. Its user interface is minimalistic. Assigning tasks to groups or individuals is incredibly easy. Its to-do tasks reminder works great. Easy to create groups for multiple projects. There's a lot of potential if you're a spreadsheet nerd. With some features baked in, like red flags for overdue tasks, Smartsheet can be a good project management tool for some. There is very little that Excel can do that Smartsheet can't, but plenty that Smartsheet can do that Excel can't. The biggest positive impact we experienced after implementing Smartsheet is team productivity. It enhances our ability and saves lots of time. The user interface is very responsive. The automation functionality works as promised. Cons My experience with Smartsheet has been great and the system has wide ranging possibilities, so i have no cons. Can be expensive, and the cost can add up quickly if you need additional features or integrations. Additionally, the user interface can be a bit overwhelming at first and it may take some time to learn all the features and capabilities. Never faced any major issues while using the Smartsheet platform. A critical feature for any project management tool is the ability to create sub-tasks within a task. This can be done, but just doesn't really work the same way other PM tools does. It's highly manual, and adjusting formatting can be a huge pain. For as powerful as it is, you really have to dedicate a lot of time to figure out how to use even the basic features. One small thing that I don't like is the slow loading speed. Sometimes the dashboard text appears very late.
