Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros A new platform without some of the philosophical drawbacks of more popular site. A lot of ways to connect to groups It's a good site when it works properly but that's the problem. The site has become very difficult to impossible to use. At first it was great - I could talk to people and comment without having to join their page or group. we could banter without snowflakes getting offended. We could block people and use it pretty much just like facebook. then you changed the format and everything that was good about it disappeared. I was a daily user until you changed it up. that it went to weekly, now I barely even go. I don't know of any since I can't get to create an account on the platform, because of the hassle with login. Sadly. No free speech restrictions, no ads, open forums, talking with people daily. Ultimately it proved to be a failed social media site because of the new format. Cons Clunky app that crashed or stalled often Inability to download pictures and videos Web page interface is confusing, unintuitive and overwhelming They began charging to see videos, even ones that you uploaded yourself unless you paid for premium account. UI was basic. Looked like an old school website compressed into an app It is very difficult to get any support on MeWe and usually impossible to get any support. I don't like how I cant talk to anyone unless I join their stupid page or group. I don't like how there is no one to talk to there anymore. or how there are no groups of interest. its just boring and so generic and it was so much better before. Their login system doesn't work at all. It simply sucks to be honest. I tried last month to create an account, where I actually succeeded creating an account, but everytime I wanted to login, I had to go to my email account to get a verification mail, which was a hassle, so I deleted it. I couldn't even used an ordinary password. Today I tried six times in total just an hour ago - and I couldn't even create an account. I can't recommend this media at all. Solely because of the login hassle. Sadly, because I want to leave Facebook.. I guess MeWe don't want users. For four years this was a good place to be online. When MeWe decided to stop the successful open format for something called Social Web I read about it and knew it would be just like Facebook, Instagram and every other controlled social media website and I deleted my account rather than switch over. So you lost a customer who had been on MeWe for four years.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Used to have pros. No ads, nothing mainstream, it was YOUtube not Corporatetube; like it actually is now. Its free to use. Good source to earn revenue if you have a channel. International exposure. Integrates easily. Broadcast live anywhere you are. Can download and watch offline later. Share a good amount of information to a lot of people in a short time. Visual and audio quality is fair. YouTube has an extensive monopoly over the world. It is very welcoming... at first, then, if you have an opinion you will lose your channel very, very fast. - YouTube has a very user-friendly layout, that can be used by anyone. - There is video available on any topic you want to see. - Its algorithm works great and suggests some great videos according to your taste. - It is by far the best platform to share and watch videos for free. - The UI is very smooth and user-friendly, anyone can use it without any technical knowledge. - It is available on all platforms. Cons Freedom of thought is not permitted. Everything is manipulated by the algorithm and various forms of censorship. Likes and dislikes aren't even recorded accurately. That type of code is as basic as it gets, to make the counter miscount, one would have to add more code, making this move clearly intentional. There are too many adverts on the free platform so one is forced to use premium for better undisturbed viewing. It's difficult to start earning. The video and audio quality can be improved. I didn't like the way YouTube is now the law in all things, even though they won't specify any problems they may say they are finding, other than generic. So, it becomes impossible to 'fix' content before they have completely banned the channel. - It really pushes the YouTube premium to the point that it becomes annoying. - The android version of the application is buggy, while downloading and watching videos simultaneously, the application lags a lot. - There are too many unskippable ads now on the platform.
