About

MacroFusion™ is an advanced CNC macro automation platform that converts repetitive CAM-generated G-code into intelligent reusable CNC macro programs. The software analyzes repetitive machining motion and transforms long NC programs into compact macro logic using variables, loops, conditions, and automation workflows. Features include: • CAM-to-macro conversion • Intelligent pattern recognition • WHILE loop automation • Variable-driven machining • Custom canned cycle builder • Toolpath preview and macro visualization • Macro workbench and live simulation • G-code compression and optimization • Reusable machining logic Supports advanced workflows including: • Helical interpolation • Trochoidal slot milling • Spiral pocket milling • Bolt-circle automation • Figure-8 oil groove machining • Face sweeping • Wave surfacing Compatible with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Okuma, and other macro-capable CNC controls.

About

PatternMaker is the primary program and is used to create patterns. Once patterns are created they can be exported into digital files that can be shared like any file on the Internet. There are different levels — versions — of PatternMaker. MacroGen is the program that creates the exported files. The exported files are called macros. The macros have the ability to accept different measurements so the pattern can be adjusted to fit. Macros are executed by PatternMaker. (Many computer programs have macros that exist in a digital, sharable format. For example, Microsoft Word and Excel have the ability to export macros for sharing.) So, to run a macro you need the PatternMaker program. Collection Creator combines many different patterns that are in macro form into a collection. A collection might be a group of summer dresses.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I like Macrofusion is easy to install and takes up very little space. I also really appreciate that the new version consolidates many of the smaller programs, so you now only need a single application. Support is easy to reach and always very helpful.
  • One thing I like is that it gives another option besides constantly going back into CAM for small changes. We have used it to build reusable cycles that can be adjusted with variables instead of editing hundreds or thousands of lines of code. The thread generation tools are straightforward, and the Macro Library has several useful functions that can be applied to everyday jobs.

Cons

  • One downside is the lack of detailed Manuals or explanatory videos that thoroughly explain how to use the Software, thought I notice this is improving with each new version.
  • It takes some time to learn the different features and understand where they fit into your programming workflow. New users will probably spend a bit of time experimenting before getting the most out of it.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • PatternMaker is a great CAD software. It has several levels that allows you to opt in at your budget and build up as you go. I started with professional studio and now use the grading studio. I also design garment patterns with Macrogen by PatternMaker. Its versatile and flexible for you. You can design from the scratch or work from predesigned templates.

Cons

  • I would like a few more features added like an auto save. Sometimes I lose my work.
