About
Unlike other PAM solutions, M4PAM extends privileged access control into the database. It combines server-level access management, SSH and RDP, identity-based sessions, credential management, and full session recording, with a Database Privileged Access Management (DBPAM) layer that governs which tables, columns, and rows each user can see, edit, or export. Traditional PAM disables an Active Directory account but leaves local database credentials untouched; M4PAM closes that gap. Users authenticate through single sign on and two factor authentication instead of shared credentials, request access on demand, and lose it automatically once it expires. An SQL Firewall and dynamic data masking add further control over database activity. M4PAM can run as a standalone PAM solution or layer on top of an existing third party PAM to close the database gap without replacing it. It connects to native database clients and BI tools, and deploys without agents.

About
Privileged accounts provide elevated and unrestricted access to users and systems and are necessary to perform key activities. Privileged accounts provide elevated and unrestricted access to users and systems and are necessary to perform key activities. Unfortunately, they are also one of the most common attack vectors because, when compromised, they enable hackers to access critical systems, steal sensitive data, and deploy malicious code. Today’s privileged access management technologies must not only enable you to create and enforce controls over users and systems that have elevated or “privileged” entitlements, but with the explosion of virtualized and cloud environments, the attack surface and number and types of privileged accounts have increased exponentially.
