Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros App interface is aesthetically pleasing, reporting was descent. Backend was decently easy to navigate The sale Screen and the Reporting is nice and thats about all I have to say about this system's "pros". This system is relatively easy to use with some very nice features which is what made me choose them in the first place. It is an excellent system for helping with inventory management. The ecom side is also fairly easy to pick up and manage. Flexibility and ease of use. Responsive customer service. Basic software provides more-than-adequate reporting. The ease of getting help when needed. The support options are readily available and the response time is above average. Cons Customer support was the worst. The absolute worst account managers. Never could get answers when we needed them. Constant tax form mistakes that have costed us loads of money to fix with IRS & CPA. Slow & outdated. You can tell that it’s made by someone who has never actually worked in a restaurant. Customer Service has no idea how their software works and every time I message in the chatbox, call in, or email in I will always get different answers and some people will say we don't do that and some people will say "yes we do that" and then close you service ticket the next day. Pricing went up for both the plan and our CC rates after only 8 months even though we were told they would not hike up rates. decent software but a TERRIBLE team. also your "account manager" is a glorified salesman who does not actually help you with anything, I wanted to change my plan options around and I was told to just do it on the website. Upon entering this review I noticed that ALL the positive reviews are from prior to 2023. Be prepared to wait 45 mins to and hour on hold for customer service. Then get pawned off on your account manager. Its been 4 days since I emailed mine and nothing. Emailed again today and now she is out until Tuesday. Currently been waiting 55 mins and 12 seconds for customer service again. Internet based. Cannot record any sales without internet. The reports section is not as customizable as I'd prefer. The biggest pro about OrderCounter is the accessibility of help right then and there with their support team. They have been able to solve any issue we've had with our POS system. You can tell their employees are very familiar with the software and the willingness to assist you is top notch. We had some issues with our kitchen printer and within 15 minutes the problem was resolved each time. The support team even called me a week later to check in to make sure we haven't had any other problems. The product itself has made our business run more efficient as well as give us the ability to offer new services like online ordering. I also really like how customizable the POS system is. All the adjustments are endless so you can really pin point how you want it to be and how you think it will make your business more efficient. OrderCounter POS does it all. Ease of Use. Very Customizable. Changes to menu items can be made by a manager on the fly. Support is always there. Top Notch equipment, service !! Great all around System is really great in restaurant and bar C’est Bon Cons It was mostly us not understanding the reporting. can't think of any major cons for my system. In the event my internet goes down, I'm still able to use my system and process payments. Only con I can really think about is if you are not somewhat technically inclined it may be a little difficult trying to understand and setup or update items on your menu. We also had some issues with our reports not lining up as far as totals since we introduced online ordering, but has been resolved! Some of the canned reports do not give us exactly what we really want, but there are enough to choose from to get the info by using two reports and viewing side by side. Everything this system has to offer is really great .
