About

LTX is an open foundation model for video, audio, and world simulation. You get full control over your AI: run LTX locally on your own hardware, fine tune it on your own IP, and generate video and audio as one unified output instead of stitching together separate tools. The latest model, LTX-2.5, is a 22B-parameter dual-stream diffusion transformer that generates native 4K video at up to 50fps, with synchronized audio and video produced in a single pass. Weights, code, and research are fully open, and independent benchmarking from Artificial Analysis ranks LTX among the top 3 AI video models globally. Access LTX three ways: download the open weights and run it yourself, license the model for on-premise deployment with enterprise support, or build on LTX Studio, the production suite for creative teams and studios. Teams at ElevenLabs, Asteria Film Co., Magnopus, and NVIDIA already build on LTX. LTX is production infrastructure for AI teams generating motion and physical environments inside their own pipelines, not a consumer app for one-off clips.

Pros from Real Users

Pros

  • Gosh, there are too many things I love about this platform. Making cinematic movies, with CONSISTENT CHARACTERS! That's crazy, and it's also just a good video and image generator. When I'm low on computing seconds, I use LTXV Turbo because it's fast, efficient, and has amazing results.
  • 1) UI/UX – Simple, Robust, Effective. The ‘X’perience has been smooth, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable. 2) Features – Thoughtful and Well-Designed. Every feature feels like it was built with the user in mind. 3) Speed – Unmatched. This is hands-down the fastest response system I’ve experienced.
  • I edited lots of existing images for a new project and created new images with LTX Studio. The processing was very simple and the quality was very good.
  • I really like the character design feature and the story boarding feature. The ability to change each image in real time in the story board and even animate is great. This also really helps brainstorming a story board and visualize a script to either use directly or for reference. The interactive storyboard is awesome!!
  • Many good things, such as you can easily work with different AI tools and you can create your own model as well.
  • I like the interface, the way the AI is building the storyboard, and, in general, the accuracy of the AI in generating particular types of scenes. It seems that the AI is more comfortable with particular genres (ie. children's, sci-fi, fantasy)
  • I was up and going in just minutes. I actually uploaded my new original song lyrics and LTX created scenes for me that I interwove into my bands live performance.
  • At this point, I’m enjoying the massive increase in the quality of the outputs. I’m an occasional user.
  • Easy to use!
  • Wonderful output quality, text editing is simple and the quality of interpretation in overall feel is great..

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Synthesia is very easy to use, even for non-technical users. Users can create videos by writing their script, choosing an avatar, selecting a background, and adding text and images. Users can also upload their own slideshows or screen recordings to enhance their videos. It has a diverse and realistic selection of avatars, voices, and accents. Users can choose from more than 30 avatars with different genders, ethnicities, and styles. Users can also select from more than 65 languages and 100 voices with different accents and tones. Avatars are lip-synced and have realistic facial expressions that match the voice and script. It's very efficient and cost-effective, I can create high-quality videos in minutes, without the need for cameras, actors, or editing software. Users can also edit or update their videos at any time, without having to reshoot or reshoot. Synthesia is very versatile and adaptable. Users can create videos for various purposes such as learning, support, sales, or marketing. Users can also customize their videos to suit their target audience by changing the avatar's appearance, voice, language, or background. Synthesia also provides ready-to-use examples for different use cases that users can modify or replicate.

Cons

  • It has some limitations and disadvantages. Users can only create videos up to 10 minutes in length, which may not be enough for some topics or audiences. Users may only use avatars provided by Synthesia, which may not match their brand identity or personal preference. Users may also encounter some issues with voice quality, pronunciation, or inflection of some languages or words. It has some room for improvement and development, users may want more features or options to enhance their videos, such as more templates, backgrounds, animations, transitions, music, or sound effects. Users may also want more control over the speed, pitch, or emotion of the voice. Users may also want more feedback or support from the Synthesia team or community.

LTX is primarily a video and audio foundation model, not a dedicated image generator, but it does support image-conditioned generation: you can feed a still image into LTX-2.5 and generate video from it, preserving composition, characters, and style. If you need standalone image generation as your primary use case, LTX may not be the best fit. If you need to animate, extend, or build video around existing images inside a production pipeline you control, LTX-2.5's open weights and native 4K output make it a strong option.

LTX is not a traditional timeline-based video editor. It is the open foundation model that generative video editing tools are built on. LTX-2.5 ships with a desktop app for fully local inference, and its production-grade reframing feature lets you outpaint video beyond its original frame while preserving composition, motion, and on-screen elements, which is useful inside an editing workflow. If you are looking for cut-and-trim editing software, LTX is not that. If you want to add AI generated shots, audio, or reframing into your own editing pipeline, on your own hardware, LTX-2.5 gives you the open model to build that on.

LTX-2.5 generates native 4K video at up to 50 frames per second, with audio and video produced together in a single pass rather than stitched together afterward. Built on a 22B-parameter dual-stream diffusion transformer with bidirectional cross-attention between the audio and video streams, LTX ranks among the top 3 AI video models globally per independent benchmarking from Artificial Analysis. You can download the open weights and run LTX locally, license it for on-premise deployment with enterprise support, or build on LTX Studio, the production suite for creative teams. Teams at ElevenLabs, Asteria Film Co., Magnopus, and NVIDIA already generate video with LTX. LTX is built for AI teams generating motion and physical environments inside their own pipelines, not for one-off social clips.

LTX is an open foundation model for video, audio, and world simulation, built by Lightricks. LTX-2.5 is a 22B-parameter dual-stream diffusion transformer that generates synchronized audio and video in a single pass, at native 4K resolution and up to 50 frames per second. Independent benchmarking from Artificial Analysis ranks LTX among the top 3 AI models globally for video generation. Unlike closed AI platforms, LTX ships with open weights, so you can download, inspect, fine-tune, and run the model on your own hardware, with no vendor lock-in and no per-generation billing. Enterprises, researchers, developers, and studios use LTX to build video, audio, and simulation capabilities directly into their own products and pipelines, from entertainment and gaming to robotics and physical AI.

LTX is a multimodal foundation model: one model generates and simulates across video, audio, and the physical world, instead of stitching together separate tools for each. LTX-2.5 produces synchronized audio and video in a single pass at native 4K resolution, so sound and motion stay aligned without post-production syncing. Because the weights and code are fully open, you can fine-tune LTX on your own audio and visual IP and run it on your own hardware. This makes LTX useful well beyond a single media type: entertainment studios, XR and virtual production teams, and robotics and simulation companies all build multimedia pipelines on the same underlying model.
