  • Highly customizable without coding. We have many tools to create what we need. With a little time and training, we can create many things in Epicor. We particularly appreciate the on-premise version!
  • Right now, I am using the knowledge agent alot. The Epicor modules have been put together very well. To be able to watch replays has been helpful.
  • Lots of options to create workflows and processes that capture everything we need to run our business.
  • Customization: make it what you want Speed / UX: web based Community Involvement: strong partnership w/ key stakeholds Clean Core Functions : powerful base tools
  • App Studio allows meaningful UI customization without touching source code. BAQs are flexible and support complex subqueries once you learn the patterns. BPMs and Data Directives enable powerful process automation with C# scripting. SSRS integration for reporting is solid. The platform is genuinely capable for manufacturing environments. Job costing, production tracking, and EDI integrations all work well when properly configured.
  • Epicor Kinetic does handle most of our processes like sales, production, inventory and finance. The interface is intuitive and modern with a browser as the client. Customizations can be created without modifying the core code. Realtime reporting and dashboards are a nice feature.
  • This ERP is very smooth and out of the box is great to use for any manufacturing company. From Quote to Cash, admins do not have to go over board with customizations in order for the system to function successfully for any business.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I like its cloud-based architecture, which facilitates secure access to information from anywhere, which is vital for quick decision-making. NetSuite also offers advanced customization, allowing the platform to be tailored to specific business needs. Its automation tools help improve operational efficiency, reducing time spent on manual tasks.
  • NetSuite's e-commerce capabilities allow businesses to seamlessly manage their online presence. It supports functions such as order management, inventory tracking, and customer relationship management in e-commerce.
  • I like NetSuite's ability to provide a complete view of the supply chain. As a user, I can track inventory levels, orders, shipments, and deliveries across multiple locations and channels. This has allowed me to optimize demand planning and production scheduling, which in turn has reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction. I have also found the integrated financial planning and reporting tools very useful. The platform provides a variety of customizable reports on various metrics and dimensions, including revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, budgets, and forecasts. These reports can be exported to PDF, Excel or other formats for further analysis or sharing. This has significantly improved our financial planning and reporting processes. NetSuite's automated data entry and integration capabilities are also notable. As a user, I can import data from various sources, such as bank sources, credit card statements, tax authorities or external providers. Plus, NetSuite can be integrated with other tools we use, like Salesforce, Shopify, or Gmail, to streamline workflows and data sharing. This has significantly reduced manual data entry errors and improved data accuracy. As a complete ERP suite, NetSuite covers all the functional areas we need to run our business. We no longer have to switch between different systems or software for different tasks or departments. Everything is in one place and accessible from any device or browser. This has greatly improved the efficiency of our business and reduced the time it takes to complete various tasks. NetSuite's robust features and capabilities have significantly improved our accounting and compliance processes. The platform supports multiple currencies, languages, tax rules, and accounting standards, which has allowed us to conduct business globally with ease. In addition, NetSuite provides audit trails, role-based permissions, and encryption to ensure data security and accuracy.
  • It is versatile and customizable, allowing users to tailor the platform to their specific trading needs and preferences. Users can choose from a variety of modules, create their own user interfaces, integrate with other applications, and generate custom reports and dashboards. It is scalable and flexible, allowing users to add more users and modules as their business grows and changes. Users can also access NetSuite from any device and browser as it is hosted in the cloud. It has strong functionality and features, covering various aspects of business operations and processes. Users can benefit from automation, workflow management, analytics, performance management, revenue management, demand planning, manufacturing, fixed asset management, contract renewal, and more. NetSuite.
  • One of the best applications for managing and tracking inventory details. Easy to store all the financial information for an asset need. Superbly designed and easy to navigate. love it.

Cons

  • Initial implementation can be complex and require significant time, in addition to the need for staff training.
  • Deploying NetSuite can take time, and your organization may experience temporary interruptions during the transition. Proper planning and support are essential for a smooth migration process.
  • NetSuite, while an impressive platform, has its fair share of downsides. One of the most notable drawbacks to using NetSuite is its cost. As a user I have to pay an annual license fee which depends on the number of users and modules I choose. Additionally, there is a one-time implementation fee that covers the installation and configuration of the software. This can make NetSuite an expensive option for small businesses or startups. Also, it requires specialized skills and knowledge to be able to use it effectively and customize it to my needs, which can add to the cost. Another downside to NetSuite is that it can be overwhelming and confusing for first-time users. The platform has many features and options that can be difficult to navigate or understand. This can make it difficult to use and learn, especially for non-tech-savvy users. Also, it has some quirks and limitations that can be frustrating or inconvenient. For example, some fields or reports cannot be drilled down or filtered as I would like, while some processes or transactions require multiple steps or clicks to complete. Some features are also not available or supported by certain browsers or devices. Also, another thing I can't get over is that NetSuite can be slow or unreliable at times. The system can lag or hang when processing large amounts of data or running complex reports. You may also experience downtime or errors due to maintenance or updates. This can significantly affect my productivity and performance, especially when I need to access critical information or data.
  • It becomes expensive and may not be affordable for small businesses or startups. Users must pay an annual license fee based on the number of users and modules they need, as well as a one-time implementation fee. Users may also incur additional costs for customization, integration, training, and support. It is difficult to use and navigate, especially for beginners or non-technical users. Users may find NetSuite overwhelming, complex or confusing at times. Users may also encounter issues with speed, performance, or bugs. It has limited native functionality for some areas or industries, such as transportation or government accounting. Users may need to rely on third-party solutions or customizations to meet their specific needs or requirements.
  • Nothing as of now. I am happy with the service.
