About

QuickHMI is a web-based HMI and SCADA system from Indi.An GmbH in Bremen, Germany, developing automation software since 2006. Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • *Pricing model *Excellent source of independent / self paced learning (Inductive University) *Ease of use with minimal formal training *Free full version of software (2 hour time out on clients) *Versatility *Interoperability *Seamless Database and PLC integration *Greatly reduced development time *Excellent Tech support ( Knowledgeable and helpful) Infinitely versatile scripting functionality *******The Ignition platform is capable of performing ANY business software function. With an intermediate level knowledge of python / java / SQL you can create the modules and scripting functions to provide limitless functionality.
  • Flexible, performant, smart, really helps developers, pricing is really good, licencing is very easy.

Cons

  • Possibly the cost of support when using multiple instances of Ignition at a single facility. I will update this when I have heard back from Ignition support. Ignition had a wonderful in person training program pre-covid. But there is talk of not starting it back up and pushing everything to virtual online training. If this occurs it would be a BIG con for me. When it comes to getting the most out of training I don't think there is any comparison between in person and online learning. In person wins every time.
  • There is not much to dislike about Ignition. I have not seen anything better on the market.
