The disadvantage is that a database may only be open in one virtual machine (and class loader) at any time. As in all modes, both persistent and in-memory databases are supported. There is no limit on the number of database open concurrently, or on the number of open connections. The mixed mode is a combination of the embedded and the server mode. The first application that connects to a database does that in embedded mode, but also starts a server so that other applications (running in different processes or virtual machines) can concurrently access the same data. The local connections are as fast as if the database is used in just the embedded mode, while the remote connections are a bit slower. 	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I don't have a lot to say that is good about this product but might be because I didn't understand it. - Microsoft access can be highly customizable according to the user's preference and needs. - It is a widely used software, so the community support is tremendous. - For using Microsoft Access, there is no need to learn a new language, just knowing SQL queries does the job. Not many pros for using this. Access is used only when we have no option such as restriction on other apps. Helps you to maintain and manage your database easily. Easy to use and has a great interface for the users. Really simple to configure. This software is amazing and allows you to organize your databases within one application! I highly recommend this software. Cons I went through a full training for this program and by the end of the last day, I still didn't understand it. - It is not a suitable database option for handling a large database or multiple users. - There is a lot of room for improvement in the user interface of the software. Buggy, lags when importing even simple DBs. Excel, SQL and even python's microsheet are better than Access. No cons, it's a simple and plain database application. It is a part of Microsoft 365 and sadly need to buy the whole system to get access to access.
