Grammarly allows me to save time when writing a large amount of text and thus increase my productivity since it detects errors that I may have and also offers me suggestions for improvements in the text while I'm writing. This platform automates all the slow process that has to go through when making manual corrections on a text, this can be very useful when making contracts or when having to document a large amount of information. That is why this correction function is very important in my work environment, besides that it also allows me to speed up the drafting and revision of the document when I work in short periods of work where I have already limited time within a project. Grammarly is a unique software with a market-competitive price; there are no downsides, per my observations. Although you have the ability to use this platform for free, there is a disadvantage to this feature and that is that it has many limitations. For small businesses or individuals, it can be expensive. Many of the most powerful features are only available in the paid version, so you have to seriously consider how and when to use this platform in order to have the best performance from the first purchase of this platform. However, it is not a great limit that means that you cannot use this platform for free, you can take advantage of it at certain specific times in which you do not necessarily have to use payment tools, you can use Grammarly to answer emails or instant messages in a professional way or with some preferred tone, it can also be used in documents to detect errors but you will not have all the available features if you do not pay a subscription. I like that this platform is present within my work texts to make corrections, but sometimes it can be very intrusive within corrections that I don't want it to do, as well as so that this platform is not doing corrections where it doesn't The only way is to deactivate it, I can't find a shortcut where I don't have to necessarily close the program so that it doesn't correct me. Another disadvantage is that despite being quite effective in the corrections, it will not always be precise with the text that I am trying to write, this being a nuisance because I cannot go unnoticed an error that this platform shows me when clearly it is not because if it applied your solution would be out of context with what I'm writing. There are no languages other than English yet, this was a disappointment for me because I usually try to respond to clients from different parts of the world in their native language in order to facilitate communication and reach better business agreements. However, I have to limit myself to English so as not to have any errors or misunderstandings when communicating with foreign clients and I don't understand why they haven't implemented more languages if artificial intelligence currently supports a large number of more popular languages. For now, we will only have to wait for a language update from Grammarly. While Grammarly has many advantages, there are also some potential drawbacks that users should be aware of. One of the most significant disadvantages of Grammarly is that it can sometimes be inaccurate or inconsistent in its suggestions. The pricing plans for Grammarly Business start from $15 per month per user for teams of 3 to 149 members, which can add up quickly for larger teams. Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It's actually helped me to become a better writer. There are so many reports and different features, all of which provide excellent information. It's fairly intuitive and has helpful pop-up suggestions displayed in your text. You can customize the analysis by genre and even compare your writing to a well-known author. Lots of charts and graphs to provide overviews. Has great ability to focus in on the worst errors. Many of the features go far beyond simple spelling and grammar checks: Style suggestions, duplications, clichés, overused phrases, too many to name here, but as I said, it made me a better writer by far. I use the browser based free version of ProWritingAid for every piece of material I write. It's decent on finding grammatical errors with punctuation, etc. It's especially wonderful for picking up on typos and mistakenly typed words that our eyes tend to skip over, for example: typing "form" when you meant "from." It goes a step beyond grammar and can flag issues like passive voice, which is helpful if you have a difficult time seeing it in your own writing. I find PWAs cloud version works much better than Grammarly, which I could not get to work properly on my computer. Cons A bit slow loading large documents. I would like better control over sections written in regional or other dialects. I wish there were an easy way to download and print the many reports available. If there is, I haven't found it. The overall summary report can be downloaded/printed, but there are so many others. I would like the changes I make within the uploaded document to be tracked in Word's change tracker. Like any AI product, it will make wrong choices, but doesn't change anything automatically, so you can easily ignore an incorrect suggestion. A percentage of the suggestions are incorrect--I'd guess perhaps 20%--so you need a fairly good foundation in grammar to know when to ignore PWA's suggestions. Or you can at least flag the change to ask your editor. I don't think the full program is worth the price, but it might be if you find it on sale.
