About

Gitsu is a GitHub-native issue tracking client for developers who manage work in GitHub Projects. It offers a browser-based app and a macOS desktop app for viewing and editing project boards and issues while keeping GitHub as the system of record. Users can organize work with Kanban, list and roadmap views, create saved filters, navigate with keyboard controls, and bulk-edit selected issues. The desktop app adds coding-agent features and an MCP server that lets compatible agents read boards and perform supported issue actions, including changing project fields, managing labels, commenting, and creating or closing issues. Gitsu syncs edits with GitHub and provides tools to import existing issues into GitHub. A free web plan includes project views and editing; paid Pro and Team subscriptions add the macOS app, AI features, and agent access. It is designed for solo developers and small teams using existing GitHub workflows.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • * Developers love the native integration with GitHub * Reduces context-switching * Workflows can be set up such that each function on a team can have their own view of a project and sprint.
  • #1- ZenHub enables easy to manage IT project and gives a platform to combine efforts for effective project works. #2- Easy to communicate and collaborate with team members.

Cons

  • * Non-developers on the team need to understand GitHub development methods in order to understand where an issue should live * Adding dependencies across projects and repositories can be tricky (cross-repository search does not always work) * Adding new issues to an Epic don't always place the new issue in the "new issue" column (unless this column happens to be first on the
  • #1- we had an overall positive experience with it.
