About

GitGuardian is an end-to-end NHI security platform that empowers software-driven organizations to enhance their Non-Human Identity (NHI) security and comply with industry standards. With attackers increasingly targeting NHIs, such as service accounts and applications, GitGuardian integrates Secrets Security and NHI Governance. This dual approach enables the detection of compromised secrets across your dev environments while also managing non human identities and their secrets lifecycle. The platform supports over 450+ types of secrets, offers public monitoring for leaked data, and deploys honeytokens for added defense. Trusted by over 600,000 developers, GitGuardian is the choice of leading organizations like Snowflake, ING, BASF and Bouygues Telecom for robust secrets protection.

About

Application security is noisy and overly complicated. The good news: you can relieve that unnecessary noise and dramatically reduce your risk of attacks with Invicti. Keeping up with security is more manageable with accurate, automated testing that scales as your needs shift and grow. That's where Invicti shines. With a leading dynamic application security testing solution (DAST), Invicti helps teams automate security tasks and save hundreds of hours each month by identifying the vulnerabilities that really matter. Combining dynamic with interactive testing (DAST + IAST) and software composition analysis (SCA), Invicti scans every corner of an app to find what other tools miss. With asset discovery, it's easier to discover all web assets — even ones that are lost, forgotten, or created by rogue departments. Through tried-and-true methods, Invicti helps DevSecOps teams get ahead of their workloads to hit critical deadlines, improve processes, and communicate more effectively.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • GitGuardian solves the critical issue of securing sensitive information and secrets within our code repositories. By scanning for exposed credentials, API keys, and other confidential data, it helps prevent potential security breaches and data leaks.
  • Pretty efficient in detecting possible password leaks on GitHub commits. If it wasn't for GitGuardian's notification, I would not have realized several mistakes I've committed, and it could have led to a severe security breaches.
  • I love GitGuardian because it helps me keep my code secure and clean. It scans my GitHub activity for secrets and sensitive data and alerts me when I expose something risky. It also integrates with my CI/CD pipeline and my VCS, so I can enforce security rules across my DevOps tools. GitGuardian is the best code security platform for the DevOps generation!
  • This project checks for any vulnerability in my repo's code! It's excellent, of course! I would suggest it to anybody!
  • It's excellent. Detect and protect any information that is of great value such as password username.

Cons

  • As much as I appreciate GitGuardian's security features, I find the user interface a bit challenging to navigate at times. It could benefit from some streamlining to make the experience more intuitive. Additionally, it would be helpful to have the option to remove commits directly within the platform, rather than having to resort to external tools or commands. Despite these minor inconveniences, GitGuardian remains a crucial asset in safeguarding our repositories.
  • So far I haven't faced any problems that would fit in "dislike" about GitGuardian.
  • I was very impressed by GitGuardian's features and performance, but there were some things that I didn't like about their service: - The user interface was not very intuitive or user-friendly. I had a little trouble navigating and adjusting the settings and options.
  • I didn't find any cons while I was using the GitGuardian software.
  • You should allow more free access for a little more time the free time is no that enough to get to know the product.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I like that is effortless to deploy, understand and use. It comes with great features and makes scanning for threats seamless. It is very accurate and never misses threats. It is also relatively affordable.
  • It is completely automated and gives you an easy-to-understand report in the end. You can check the website against most common as well as rare attacks with just one single click. Its malware database gets frequent updates.
  • Having used Netsparker Security Scanner for along time, I have a few things that I like. First, it is easy to use. Secondly, it comes with great features. It is very secure and keeps threats away from our email gateway.
  • Easy to use. To prevent your website from any cyber attack, you can use it for regular analysis and strength tests of your website. The user interface is very friendly and easy to understand.
  • The scanned reports not only provide vulnerability but users can see the report and check what was identified.

Cons

  • I can't think of any issues with Netsparker Security Scanner. It is a perfect solution.
  • It is sporadic, but it may give you some false positives. The price range is quite good.
  • Since Netsparker Security Scanner comes with many features and has worked well for us, I have no single complaints.
  • It is very expensive, yet you can get a demo and then decide if you want it or not. It is easy to use yet has powerful tools.
  • It is only available for Windows but it should be available for Linux too as most of the security analysts use Linux as their operating system.
