Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Easily track assets with the web interface. I also use their native iOS application for quickly scanning items in and out. - Custom code opens up the possibility to have the software fit your business instead of the other way around. - Desktop and Mobile Versions - Great support - Flexibly designed I really like how customizable everything about the software is, from the reports that are generated, the tickets/labels printed, to the windows and labels within the software itself. Everything can be customized to say or do what you want. The support team is great as well, they are on it as soon as you need something! Works great for all companies that need to control inventory. min/max, replenish thresholds, etc... the works. Flowtrac really is fully customizable, every feature that I have needed in order to have an accurate count and reporting for the State and other entities has been done. Cons Lots of customization available I can feel overwhelming during the set up. - Pricing is a little high and all the custom code costs can add up. Sometimes the customizing is a little bit much. The report developer tool is not very user friendly. The scanner is a bit slow and cumbersome, but that might be me, I prefer to print a list and check it off as I go. I didn't find it sooner! Like I said, wish I found it sooner. It can be scary switching to a new system not knowing what is to come, and for reports and will this product work. Analytics and reports empower businesses to make informed decisions and optimize their shipping strategies. For small to medium-sized businesses, shipping products can be a logistical headache. ShipStation made it simple for me to track my shipments and swiftly delete them from inventory. Our company uses ShipStation integrated with our Lightspeed eCommerce site. Once everything is setup, it works like a charm. Packages are just a few clicks away from being sent and the customer automatically receives the shipping confirmation and tracking information- which we have setup to be sent on our branded landing page. Need to split a shipment? No problem. Easy to use for integrating shipping on your ecommerce store. I like how easy it is to use and works seamlessly. Cons Learning Curve: While the platform is user-friendly, some users may experience a learning curve initially. Training and onboarding resources may be beneficial for new users. Cost Consideration: Depending on the scale of operations, the pricing structure may be a consideration. For smaller businesses, the cost may be relatively higher compared to alternative solutions. Customization Complexity: Advanced customization may require a deeper understanding of the platform, making it less accessible for users who are not well-versed in customization processes. Occasional Glitches: Some users have reported occasional glitches, such as delayed syncing or display issues. While these are infrequent, they can impact operational efficiency. ShipStation should be more user-friendly. It also lacks a robust reporting system. On this platform, I'd like to be able to dive into my sales statistics. The only critique I have is that we would love to be able to have the shipping cost automatically add in package insurance for selected items. There are times when the shipping cost exceeds what we have charged the customer- this is typically only when insurance is necessary. There's not really much for cons for ShipStation.
