About

Our most stunning take on post‑production. With its modern Metal engine, Final Cut Pro allows you to edit more complex projects and work with larger frame sizes, higher frame rates, and more effects — all at blazing speeds. And it’s built to harness the extreme power of the new Mac Pro for next-level performance. Metal dramatically accelerates graphics tasks like rendering, real-time effects, and exporting. Video editors on 15-inch MacBook Pro will benefit from render performance that is up to 20% faster while editors using iMac Pro will see gains of up to 35%.1 And when you’re working on a system with an eGPU attached, you can select which GPU to use — internal or external — for peak performance. For the ultimate editing experience, run Final Cut Pro on the world’s fastest Mac, the new Mac Pro. Final Cut Pro takes advantage of all the GPUs in Mac Pro and uses multithreading to spread tasks across up to 28 cores.

  • - It offers cinema level features and transitions effects for a professional grade editing that does not let down the client. - It works seamless with Apple Computers and now with new M1 chips the performance is just out of the roof! - It allows creating or make any possible video the user think of, only limitation can be the imagination because anything which can be thought of can be executed with the help of Final Cut Pro.
  • It integrates with Mac so seamlessly. It renders video files faster than any other editor. It has the most powerful and automated tools in the Market. I have been using it for years and it has pushed up my professional work.
  • It gives you the best video editing tools and quality. It can be used for any kind of video editing and you can render any video seamlessly.
  • Fast video rendering Easy to use Great UI Color correction Filled up with features and have great effects too to choose from.
  • Intuitive interface - easy to use Great performance Excellent render time Lots of effects, editing tools & other feature Good color correction One time purchase

Cons

  • - The projects takes too much storage considering the fact that Apple devices comes with expensive storage, so that makes storing projects files an expensive and hectic task.
  • Not compatible with other operating systems. Does not comes with a lifetime licence for all coming versions.
  • It is very expensive and not everyone can buy it. The price could be lesser and reasonable.
  • The only con is that it is only available for MAC users.
  • No native backwards compatibility with older version projects.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Lots of excellent YouTube Shotcut tutorials (thank you to all who share). Packed with great audio and video features. Easy to use but I can't really compare as Shotcut is the only video editor I use. Constantly upgraded (and not just superficial upgrades) And of course, it is free!
  • -Shotcut is completely free to download and it doesn't have annoying paywalls or pop-ups to upgrade -Lots of different filters -Very easy to work with timelines -Different formats to export your videos in
  • Free and open source. Simple and easy even for beginners. Screen, webcam and audio capture. Cross platform - Windows, Linux and mac. Has a portable version as well.
  • Multiplatform: It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux (Snap, Flatpak and AppImage), so you can edit on any computer. Large number of export formats.
  • Shotcut is capable of handling most aspects of video-editing: video segments editing, various effects, keyframes applied to effects, text overlays, video overlays, etc. Very impressive for a freeware program.

Cons

  • As I said earlier, I can't really compare. The only thing I have noticed over time is that there's the occasional crash so best to save your work regularly. I've never lost any work and recovery is fast.
  • -Time to export a video is quite long -Not always easy or intuitive to use, there is a learning curve
  • Bugs and occasional glitches while rendering - rare crashes as well. Less encoding presets. Misses on advanced features like lossless editing.
  • The interface and video editor can take some time to accustom to. Sometimes it crashes on Linux - so you need to save the project regularly.
  • - Interface is not the best - GPU acceleration is very limited - Sluggish when the project becomes too big
