About

Featureflip is the flat-priced alternative to LaunchDarkly, Split and Flagsmith: feature flag infrastructure for small teams who don't want a bill that grows every time they hire someone. Most platforms meter per seat or per monthly active user. Featureflip charges one fixed price per plan. Rollouts, targeting, segments, kill switches, audit logs and all 13 SDKs are included at every tier, including the free Solo plan, which runs in production instead of expiring after a trial. - Kill switches: turn a feature off without a deploy - Percentage rollouts and rule-based targeting by user attribute or segment - A/B testing with multi-variation flags - Sub-millisecond evaluation. Server SDKs evaluate in-process and keep serving if we go down - 13 SDKs: JavaScript, Node, Python, .NET, Java, Go, PHP, Ruby, React, Browser, Swift, Flutter, Android - REST Management API, Terraform provider, MCP server and OpenFeature on every plan

About

LaunchDarkly is the runtime control platform for the AI era. It includes two solutions: CodeControl and AgentControl. CodeControl helps teams ship AI-generated code safely with feature flags, progressive rollouts, observability, Experimentation, and automatic recovery—so they can move fast without losing control. AgentControl helps teams manage AI agents in production by configuring prompts and models, monitoring behavior, and taking action in real time without redeploying. Together, they help teams ship AI-built software with confidence, reduce risk, optimize AI performance and cost, and adapt continuously.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Easy to configure and enable flags for different use cases. Works well for enterprise use cases without breaking.
  • I really like how easy it is to manage environment separation across our different stages (dev, staging, prod). The progressive deployment features and targeted rollouts make releasing new features significantly less risky for our team.

Cons

  • Since it’s very easy to use - it leads to downside that some teams can get into : way too many feature flags. There should be some way to get recommendations
  • managing technical debt (cleaning up stale flags after a feature is fully rolled out) still requires a lot of manual discipline from the engineering team.
