About

Droid Transfer is a Windows application that works alongside the free Transfer Companion app for Android, allowing you to back up and transfer SMS/MMS messages, call history, contacts (with backup and restore), calendars , photos, music, videos and other files from your Android phone to your PC using either a USB cable or your local WiFi network. The software displays conversations from your phone’s default messaging app (such as Google Messages or Samsung Messages) and lets you save messages in multiple formats including PDF, HTML and text, complete with timestamps, emojis, photos and videos contained in the chat. You can also browse your phone’s storage and transfer files between your phone and PC over WiFi for quick, cable-free management, backup and recovery.

About

LetsView, through the screen sharing technology between multiple platforms, makes the business meetings and the teaching process more intuitive, and family life more colorful. Meanwhile, LetsView delivers with friendliness while making communication easier. Phones or tablets become the second portable blackboard in the classroom. Teachers can mirror phones to PC, TV, and projector to interact with students. LetsView also enables teachers to display files, courseware, and exercises in an effective way, which makes the teaching method smarter and more interesting. Without the constraints of cables, you can share screens anywhere as long as your devices are connected to the same WiFi network. LetsView is compatible with multiple devices including Android and iOS and mirrors your phone onto a bigger screen. It allows you to wirelessly stream Android and iPhone screens to a PC with audio. Without any data cable, you can easily cast meeting files onto the big screen with one click.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I loved Droid Transfer when I first bought it. It worked very well. I could easily import and print text, contacts, and photos.
  • I've been using Droid Transfer for a couple of years to export text messages from my Samsung Galaxy S22 to PDF files. The exported PDFs look just like they do on my phone, which makes me very happy. Installing and connecting my phone to my PC over WiFi was easy – I just scanned a QR code and the connection was instantly established. I also use it regularly to transfer photos from my phone to my PC without any issues. I like how it detects newly taken photos on my phone and just exports those quickly.
  • Slick advertising.

Cons

  • Now it has completely stopped working and they have changed the programs format to something that cant be opened to install. So my purchase his no longer working and there no customer support to assist. In my opinion, they completely destroyed the app!
  • The free version is limited to saving 5 messages and 100 photos. Upgrading to the full version has been worth it for me, as I've been using the same license for over 2 years now.
  • I downloaded the software (trial version) to my PC, installed the app on my phone, and prepared to test the software to see if I wanted to purchase it. All of their advertising says they have a free version. The software won't do anything without an "activation code" which I have to purchase. So I can't review the software's features, because it won't do anything without payment. If you're going to advertise a free version, maybe you should actually have a free version?

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • 1. Free. LetsView offers free services, which is a major advantage over some of its competitors that require subscription fees for similar features. 2. Cross-Platform Compatibility: LetsView supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, enabling users to mirror screens across different devices. 3. Supports extending screens. LetsView not only allows mirroring one screen to another device but also enables users to extend their computer screen to another device, e.g., one can extend a PC's screen to an iPad for more efficient work. 4. Ease of Use: The tool is designed with a straightforward interface that makes it user-friendly. You can start mirroring your screen with just a few clicks. 5. High Quality and Responsiveness: LetsView provides high-definition screen mirroring with minimal latency, ensuring a high-quality viewing experience. 6. Versatile Applications: This software is suitable for various scenarios, including education, business presentations, gaming, and entertainment. 7. Excellent technical support. Even though it is free, the technical support are still good, and they will try their best to solve problems I've met.

Cons

  • 1. Doesn't support a USB connection. LetsView only allows WI-FI connection, and it is internet-dependable. 2. Doesn't allow controlling mobile from PC. LetsView works well for screen mirroring, but I cannot control my phone from a PC using a keyboard and mouse.
