About

Works like your local hard drive/file server. Map cloud storage as a network drive. Directly edit cloud files, drag-n-drop email attachments, file locking, map multiple drives with different permissions. Very efficient & reliable. A mapped cloud drive is the most straightforward way of accessing cloud-based files. It works just like your local hard drive. There is no learning curve. DriveHQ's Cloud Drive Mapping Tool makes it extremely easy to map a cloud drive. Moreover, it uses advanced caching, monitoring and reporting technologies to make the solution more efficient and reliable than any other WebDAV drive mapping service. Map cloud storage as a "local" drive. A mapped "local" drive is more compatible with Microsoft Office. Supports longer file path. The path length limit is a limit of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office. The Drive Mapping Tool minimizes the path length.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Multi-threaded copying is genuinely fast; pre scheduled jobs ran unattended; email alerts on completion; support responded within hours.
  • Direct cloud-to-cloud transfers without staging locally , multi-threaded copying noticeably speeds things up, email notifications when jobs finish or fail , reliable resume after interruptions and responsive support team.
  • Direct cloud-to-cloud transfer (no local staging), preserves metadata, handles huge files, real-time email notifications, solid support team that actually responds.
  • Multi-threaded copying significantly speeds up large file transfers compared to standard robocopy. Broad destination support, local drives, network shares, UNC paths, and external media all work reliably. Solid scheduling and automation without needing to hand-write batch scripts. Granular file filtering , include or exclude by extension, size, date, or attribute. Detailed logging makes it easy to audit what ran, what was skipped, and what failed. Runs as a Windows service, keeping jobs alive without a user session open.
  • -True delta/byte-level replication: This is its standout feature. It only copies changed portions of files, exactly as the title promises, saving massive time and bandwidth on large datasets. - Blazing-fast multi-threaded performance that effectively utilizes all CPU cores and network bandwidth. - Seamlessly copies open/locked files using Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) without errors or user disruption. - Excellent support for very long file paths (far beyond 256 characters), millions of files, and no practical limits on file size. - Built-in scheduler, Windows service mode, detailed logging, email notifications, and perfect preservation of NTFS permissions, ownership, and timestamps. - Reliable across local drives, NAS, DFS, and cloud destinations (Azure, AWS, etc.). - Responsive vendor support and regular updates.

Cons

  • Initial configuration takes some reading but it is ok for me.
  • Documentation must be more detailed for advanced cloud configurations.
  • Only one , Windows-only which annoyed my Linux teammates
  • Limited cross-platform utility , essentially Windows-only
  • The Enterprise edition with all the advanced delta features is a paid product. It’s reasonably priced for businesses given the time it saves, but not ideal for casual home users.
