Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros With its "Droplets" virtual computers, DigitalOcean makes it simple for users to build and manage instances. Droplets offer versatility for a range of workloads since they are available in several sizes and combinations. - Great cost to value ratio. Even though the droplets are not the cheapest ones, I managed to host several open source tools on a single droplet via Docker and all of them are running smoothly. - Easy droplets management. I was able to create new subdomains, make backups and monitor the droplet via web-interface. - Apps marketplace is nice, there are a lot of pre-configures services that can be deployed almost in one click. But be careful, It can easily increase the overall prices! High performance & security Easy to use APIs On demand scalability One click install CMS solution Good documentation & tutorials Free 100$ credit for trying out Super reliable and easy to set up especially if using it on Cloudways. We haven't had any issues at all. Cons Although substantial, DigitalOcean's service offering is not as broad as that of other major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Certain services might not be sufficient for businesses with complicated infrastructure demands. - Referral program and bonuses are almost non-existent. You can use only one(!) coupon code per account and the referral bonuses are non-recurring. - Droplets are not managed. It means that it's user's responsibility to provide security of the VPS. If some software needs to be installed, it should be done manually. For basic hosting purposes, plans are expensive compared to other hosting websites. Not for beginners. Nothing that I dislike about digital ocean as they're awesome.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros We’ve been using ScaleOcean for over a year now, and honestly, it’s made our day-to-day operations so much easier. The dashboard gives a clear picture of what’s happening across departments. from planning to inventory, so I can spot issues before they become problems. What I really like is how everything connects smoothly. We don’t have to jump between different tools anymore, and the reports actually help us make better improvement instead of just collecting data. The support team also deserves credit, whenever we reach out, they respond fast and really concern to understand our issues deeply. Worth the price, support team has been very supportive with every step of the way starting from demo to implementation. Has a variety of extensive features and customizable to my requests, even the complex ones. I work in the manufacturing field and rely heavily on technology. Before ScaleOcean, we used another ERP system, but it didn’t quite meet our needs for automating everything end-to-end (as you know, the manufacturing process is long and complex). So, we explored other ERPs and demoed ScaleOcean's system. We've been using it for over two years now, and it's been great. It integrates across all our business processes, from procurement to inventory and accounting within one system. Our needs are pretty complex, but ScaleOcean has been able to customize the system to meet our requirements. I think it’s been a nice experience. super professional and totally worth it. ScaleOcean's interface is spotless and intuitive, which is a huge plus for me. My primary use is accessing real-time dashboards and extracting comprehensive reports to monitor our KPIs. The software seamlessly integrates all the modules I need for high-level oversight, from sales forecasting and production planning to inventory control and cost analysis. This gives me a clear, top-down view of the entire operation, which is critical. It felt like the ScaleOcean team understood our business needs from the start, as the software provided the strategic visibility we required. Most importantly, our company has grown fast, and ScaleOcean has scaled perfectly with us. Cons No big complaints so far. It took a bit of time to get used to the setup, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing. Minor bugs at the beginning, but still manageable and doesn't interfere with usage, fixed within a short time of reporting to their team. As for daily use, we don’t face many issues. Sure, there are minor glitches from time to time, but they are rare. When they do happen, their team is quick to address and resolve them, keeping us informed along the way. So, i thinks its still acceptable. Honestly, I haven't encountered any significant cons that have caused a setback. Everything has been working smoothly. On the rare occasion our team has a question or faces a minor issue, the support team is incredibly responsive. If anything, this just reinforces how reliable the software and the company are.
