About

Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf) is an AI-powered development environment that combines a full-featured IDE with advanced coding agents in a unified workspace. Formerly known as Windsurf, the platform enables developers to manage local and cloud-based AI agents, delegate tasks, review code, and ship software without leaving their editor. Developers can use multiple coding agents simultaneously to research, write, test, debug, and improve code while maintaining full visibility into every change. Devin Desktop includes features such as agent orchestration, shared workspaces, intelligent code completion, contextual code search, and integrated review tools. The platform supports a wide range of models, extensions, language servers, and MCP integrations, allowing teams to work with their preferred tools and workflows. Devin Desktop helps engineering teams accelerate software development, improve productivity, and manage AI-assisted coding at scale.

About

Zenflow is an AI orchestration platform built to bring discipline and structure to AI-assisted software development by coordinating multiple AI agents in spec-driven workflows, enforcing planning, implementation, testing, and review steps so output stays aligned with defined requirements rather than ad-hoc prompting. It organizes repeatable processes that run on autopilot or with human review, with built-in automated verification and cross-agent quality gates to reduce errors and “AI slop.” Zenflow enables parallel execution of tasks in isolated environments, provides visibility into agent work via project management views, and supports pre-built workflows for features, bug fixes, and refactors that users can extend or customize. It anchors tasks to a single source of truth such as PRDs or architecture documents to prevent drift and scope creep, and coordinates agent diversity to catch blind spots across model families.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • * The context awareness is the best I've seen (knows my whole repo). * The quality of the autocomplete/supercomplete is excellent. * New features all the time and they're actually good.
  • It's helpful for any project with little bits of help it gets you really far, gets you to the finish line.
  • - Smart business model. Compared to the raw ChatGPT model you don't feel that message limit, and even when you do, you have plenty of other competitive models to use while you're getting back your capacity. - Auto-completion is useful, but it's pretty much for any assistant - They are listening. Compared to the whales in this niche they do hear us and quickly react, reflect, and implement leading ideas.
  • The autocomplete is easily my favorite feature and the one I use the most. It gets better as you develop more and it really does a great job of understanding your coding style and adapting to it. The conversation chat is also really helpful when I have general app architecture or syntax related questions. I also find myself using the inline commenting feature quite frequently and I love not having to type out all the comments myself.
  • Using Codeium has made refactor suggestions easy by having the ability to highlight specific sections of the code within an IDE! I specifically use VS Code and it has been working pretty smoothly. I also like having the option of having a chat box so that I can discuss other topics.

Cons

  • * The documentation is lacking. * They have the option to use their own models or OpenAI or Anthropic but there's no quantitative comparison of their quality.
  • Content awareness, chat focus, working folder awareness.
  • - The "Ctrl + I" code generator I found to be exceptionally useless. It breaks or deteriorates your code. - GPT-4o is overrated.
  • Although I use the inline action buttons a decent amount, sometimes they clutter the code as I am trying to read through the file. I am not sure if there is an easy way to add a keyboard shortcut that allows for toggling these on/off, but if there is, that would be a nice feature to add.
  • Codeium sometimes struggles to connect to my IDE and I am unable to use. I haven't been able to figure out the cause of this but sometimes I am unable to use Coddium for a couple days and then all of the sudden it is back.
