About
Keeping an industrial-grade database running requires a lot more than just "apt-get install postgres". You need infrastructure for continuous backups, testing, 24/7 monitoring, maintenance and security patches. Someone has to stay on top of all of that, every day, or things slip through the cracks, data is lost, and your business suffers. We know all the gotchas, because we've been doing this since 1997. Benefit from our decades of experience, so you can focus your time on what you do best — running your business. A database should be invisible. It's there when you need it, ready to organize and supply your data anywhere in the world. With our Postgres as a service, we take care of the operational tasks surrounding the database so you can focus your energy on your core business. Your database is monitored 24/7 by operational staff who stand ready to address any issues. And it stays safe with continuous offsite backups that can be restored to any point in time.

About
If you can run Perl, you can automate the backups with a cron job. Even if your hoster does not offer cron jobs, you can use them with another provider. If it is a smaller database, you can have the backups sent to you by email. If the backup file is too large to be sent by email, you can have the backups automatically transferred to up to 3 different FTP servers. You don't need to be an expert to secure your databases securely. MySQLDumper controls almost every possible source of error independently and does not bother you with technical questions as far as possible. Easy backup and restore of MySQL databases. E-mail notification of completed backup processes with and without the backup file being attached. The attachments can be limited to a maximum size. Automatic sending of the backup via FTP to up to 3 other servers. Convenient management of the backup files, all information at a glance.
