About

Meet DataGrip, our new database IDE that is tailored to suit the specific needs of professional SQL developers. Allows you to execute queries in different modes and provides a local history that keeps track of all your activity and protects you from losing your work. Lets you jump to any table, view, or procedure by its name via the corresponding action, or directly from its usages in the SQL code. Gives you an extended insight into how your queries work and into the database engine behavior, so you can make your queries more efficient. DataGrip provides context-sensitive code completion, helping you to write SQL code faster. Completion is aware of the tables structure, foreign keys, and even database objects created in code you're editing. DataGrip detects probable bugs in your code and suggests the best options to fix them on the fly. It will immediately let you know about unresolved objects, using keywords as identifiers and always offers a way to fix the problems.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It helps me excel in data and information performance backed up with analysis reflected in solid reports. The support is critical and has a very authentic deployment in terms of tools. The interface is straightforward and with a lot of security in its use of the system. It encourages data quality and has excellent graphics to represent your information through statistical processes.
  • I like DataGrip because I can count on an easy-to-use environment, managing both local and remote databases. I also love its extensive support for handling various database engines. It provides a platform that works quite well; the data visualization panels are very well organized, it allows me to manage several databases simultaneously easily.

Cons

  • It is exclusive and of excellent quality; I like it very much. I have nothing terrible to mention.
  • It takes a little more effort to customize it at first, especially for new users, although it should be noted that the concept of the application is fascinating, and it works well.

Pros from Real Users

Pros

  • Very flexible. Came from a background a couple of years using Toad, but much prefer DB viz, and its a good price for such a comprehensive tool. I use with mysql, mariadb, postgres, mongo, clickhouse. Easy connection set up - good ssh tunnelling options etc. Good autocompletion in editor. Nice set of data export tools etc. Very stable, not had it crash on me even with dozens of sql editor tabs open.
  • Ease of use, support for many databases, intuitive, in grid editing. Settings export so I can easily move between laptop and desktop.
  • New features coming along the way each release. Company listen to customers support ticket on bug fix.
  • Ease of use and cross platform connections. I operate multiple database across windows and MacOS and DbVisualzer to manage all from the one platform
  • My favorite feature in DbVisualizer is Query Builder. Being able to drag and drop tables onto a canvas and visually join them together and the filter and choose the columns that I want to return from the query is a huge time savings for me
  • Easy to use and has many features. I have been using DBVisualizer for more than 7 years. I suggest to use the PRO version.
  • DBVisualizer is one of the most powerful and reliable database tools I have used. It supports a wide range of databases out of the box and provides a consistent, intuitive interface across all of them. The SQL editor is excellent, with strong auto-completion and performance even on large datasets. I especially appreciate the advanced features for query analysis, data visualization, and schema browsing. The tool is very stable, regularly updated, and works seamlessly across platforms. For professional use, it significantly improves productivity.
  • The visualization of table relationships is very easy to understand, as well as connecting to new databases and creating different projects within DBVisualizer.
  • DbVisualizer simplifies most aspects of DDL & DML by providing a simple, intuitive and user-friendly interface that just makes sense. The ability to connect to most databases, reach out to support that actually listens and helps are just the cherry on the top.
  • I have used DBVisualizer for more than 10 years. It has become an indispensable part of my daily workflow. It covers almost all known RDMBS and as long as you have a JDBC driver, you can use it. I also like that they continue to improve the user experience by adding new features to it.
