About

DanubeData is a next-generation managed services platform for European cloud infrastructure, bringing compute, databases, caches, storage, and apps into one unified namespace. It is built to put your data on the right course, deploy AMD Zen4-powered VPS instances, managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB databases, Redis-compatible caches, S3-compatible object storage, and Rapids serverless containers from one dashboard. Everything runs in the same German datacenter, so services communicate with zero-latency internal networking, no cross-region hops, and simpler architecture. Virtual machines provision in under 45 seconds with AMD EPYC Zen 4 cores, NVMe Gen4 storage, DDR5 memory, full root access, cloud-init compatibility, SSH keys, DDoS protection, and real-time resource graphs. Managed databases are production-ready with automated backups, point-in-time recovery, read replicas, automatic failover, SSL/TLS encryption by default, performance insights, and more.

About

Cloud images are operating system templates and every instance starts out as an identical clone of every other instance. It is the user data that gives every cloud instance its personality and cloud-init is the tool that applies user data to your instances automatically. Including datasource and module references, and plenty of examples. While cloud-init started life in Ubuntu, it is now available for most major Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. For cloud image providers, then cloud-init handles many of the differences between cloud vendors automatically — for example, the official Ubuntu cloud images are identical across all public and private clouds.
