Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Clean and to the point interface. Free & Open source. Lots of extensions / plugins. Universal - Allows connecting to most of the popular db's via plugins. Has multiple Db management utilities. Multi platform - Available on mac, windows, linux.
  • Simple to use. Does not attempt to maximize unnecessary (and non functional) features. Responsive developers. Reverse engineer existing DBs from connections or scripts. And can generate a completely db independent ERD. The price rocks. The documentation generator is by far the best I've seen.

Cons

  • For a free solution and a universal one - I can't find any cons.
  • It is simple and sometimes manual alterations of DDL is needed (e.g., sharding, if present). I'm not (yet) allowed to use it at my current place of employment.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • The functions are pretty intuitive, so that was nice. It's fast and can run large amounts of SQL pretty quickly. Auto-complete works well and really speeds up the work process. ER diagrams are pretty good. And I can connect to my database without an Oracle client which is a nice feature!

Cons

  • - No mac version - Free version only allows 10 tables in ERD designer
