Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I had the OneDrive and Dropbox clients running at login plus the AWS console open half the day for S3. Now all of it mounts as drives and nothing mirrors to disk unless I actually open a file. On a 256GB MacBook that's the difference between constantly playing storage tetris and just not thinking about it. S3 in Finder is the part I'd pay for alone - drag a file into a bucket like it's a folder, no console, no cli.
  • I was able to stop running the native One Drive, Dropbox and Box apps on my Mac, replacing them with the very low profile CloudMounter. This provided a lower memory impact and faster loading time of the OS at login. When I had a question about the software, the response from tech support was prompt and accurate. They even followed up to make sure I was able to implement their solution.
  • Integrates nicely with native Mac Finder. Doesn't get in the way. Not bloated with unnecessary features.
  • Ease of use, it does what it says it’ll do in a simple fashion. Was able to mount my Google Drive effectively.
  • Love the support. The really like to help even it it costs much time to solve. The product is also great as it solves all my network connections online and with servers. It's much faster than the native connection form Mac, especially with webdav.

Cons

  • Ran into some small quirk in the first week, can't recall what exactly - whatever it was, it hasn't come back.
  • Once I had to open the program after launching it to manually mount a cloud directory. This was after migrating my user account to a new computer so some hiccups were to be expected. Fortunately, all my authorizations and permissions carried over.
  • Not much to complain about. Sometimes less is more.
  • None. It did as it claimed without any downsides to it.
  • It could take some time, but eventually it's solved.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I purchased one ExpanDrive license after I saw this post, because I need a consistent solution for mounting OneDrive as a fuse drive. Objectively speaking, the product does not work. It basically shuts down with no message after a couple minutes. Support basically ghosted me after they got my money and never responded to my enquiries.
  • The product was great -- for the duration of the trial.
  • It's hard to come up with Pros for something that just doesn't work. The demo worked so I suppose that was good. Initially the purchased application connected to my organization's Sharepoint.
  • Looks great upon first use as it comes with an amazing large collection of integrations are possible.

Cons

  • I purchased one ExpanDrive license after I saw this post, because I need a consistent solution for mounting OneDrive as a fuse drive. Objectively speaking, the product does not work. It basically shuts down with no message after a couple minutes. Support basically ghosted me after they got my money and never responded to my enquiries.
  • Nonexistent customer support. Service that is useless.
  • Ultimately, it stopped working. The program reported an error fetching updates. I wrote to support and they apologized saying they had changed the key and would help me get the new key; but almost a month has gone by and I never heard from them again, despite a few email reminders. I can no longer write files to Sharepoint using ExpanDrive, so it's worthless. I finally quit the program and then it left some process (exfs) using 100% of my CPU so I had to manually kill that.
  • The company provide near zero technical support. If they don't like your question they just won't respond to you at all. It's shocking how dire their support is. The software is buggy as well, I've used it with various integrations and every time had issues, hence trying to reach out to them.
