About

ClipFM is a next-generation AI tool that streamlines your clip making process, turning hours of video into engaging clips within minutes. ClipFM sets out to simplify the tedious and expensive process of video editing. Founded in November 2022 by Cole Striler and Cameron Kelley, ClipFM has quickly become an indispensable tool for podcasters, video editors, podcast studios, agencies, and marketers alike.

About

Skapo is a web-based video clipping tool for podcasters, creators, editors and agencies. It turns long podcasts, interviews and other talking-head videos into vertical short-form clips for social platforms. It identifies moments, frames up to four speakers, adds word-by-word captions and can remove silence and filler words. Users can review each clip's source position and selection rationale, then correct captions or trim clips in a text-first editor. Captioning and filler-word processing support 22 languages. Paid plans add watermark-free exports, custom brand fonts and XML/EDL timeline exports for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. The White Label plan adds client workspaces with separate brand kits, automatic clipping from new YouTube channel episodes, clip approvals and delivery bundles. A free plan offers limited monthly processing with watermarked exports.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Clip.FM saves me hours of time editing video shorts. I love how fast it makes clips and how good they are. Definitely worth it if you need to make video shorts for SEO.
  • The site is just so easy to use. Most of the time, the AI finds fantastic clips for me. But even when it doesn't, the interface is stupidly simple to use. I just use the transcript editor. No iMovie or Adobe Premiere is needed. And I get so much time back to make more content.

Cons

  • I am an original beta tester. The first version of the software had some bugs that affected exporting, but they are fixed now. Since the software is so new, there could still be unforeseen bugs to work out, but I haven't come across any since the export issues were fixed.
  • I was on the waiting list for a while, which was a bummer. But I think they got rid of the waiting list.
