About

CiteDash is an AI-powered research and writing platform designed to streamline the entire academic workflow by combining source discovery, analysis, drafting, and citation into a single system. It enables users to enter a research topic, essay prompt, or question, after which a multi-agent pipeline automatically searches across numerous academic databases, including sources like Semantic Scholar, PubMed, and OpenAlex, to identify, evaluate, and synthesize relevant literature into a structured draft with inline citations. It emphasizes accuracy and credibility by grounding every claim in verifiable academic sources, avoiding hallucinated references, and ensuring that outputs are traceable to real studies. CiteDash supports a wide range of academic tasks, including essay writing, research papers, literature reviews, and exam preparation, offering tools such as AI-generated notes, structured outlines, and active recall question generation to reinforce learning.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Hey! If you, like me, forgot to cancel your free trial and got charged a huge amount, then do this! Contact Liner through their "Contact Us" section on their website and write something saying that you live in the EU and are therefore eligible for a refund within 14 days of starting the paid subscription. That's what their terms and conditions say. If you don't say this, I don't think they accept any other reason to refund the amount. I hope this helps someone! x
  • No Pros. Every thing is bad there. As IT people, they don't have simple common sense. The user query is displayed on the screen in bold and big fonts. What???? the person sitting in neighbor to you can read it easily. Are you mad? Why it is so slow even after paid version? Explain me, how you are better than ChatGPT?. I used both and realized ChatGPT is worth to pay $20 per month. Liner is a JUNK. They don't refund money. They want free money.
  • Since this ad encourages cheating, it's hard for me to say anything positive. Well, at least it presumably gives an explanation along with the answer (see below).
  • No pros, it's absolute garbage. It makes me want to jump off a building. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
  • Information is up to date. Search and pdf summaries are by far the best features. Offers references on the spot. Nice interactivity because it provides for follow up questions. The free trial is also reasonable because of the high number of questions it allows per day.

Cons

  • how easy it is to forget to cancel the free trial.
  • If you upgrade, yearly they charged mere more $200, within a month I decided not to use since it was very slow all the time, crashing again and again, so many :something wen wrong" errors. THEY DO NOT REFUND MONEY. THIS IS A CHEAT FRAUD COMANY. As AI company, they don't have simple common sense to hyperlink email to support@getliner.com. if click this email (blue link), it keeps going to getliner.com and not to email.
  • I just saw an ad for Liner on Youtube. It said that if you are short on time answering questions, just C&P the question into Liner to get the answer along with an explanation. I also asked, using the scholar version, about published research in a particular field by a given researcher but not from an English-speaking country. It claimed there was none. A search using an Internet search engine gave results..
  • The UI sucks. Glitchy. Hard to use. Overpriced. Garbage.
  • It takes quite some time to fetch information from sources and even sometimes fails to find the answers. Customization and personalization of responses is not that good.Sometimes it will just combine the answers from its sources directly without adjusting them.
