About

Today’s electronic designs are becoming increasingly complex, making it harder to detect errors that generate high costs and hundreds of work hours. Detecting these errors in advance can be instrumental in preventing these damages. Unfortunately, in many cases, these errors are discovered only in the testing phase or at the customer’s site. BQR’s CircuitHawk is a powerful and unique (patent based) design error detection and stress analysis tool for electrical circuits. CircuitHawk detects design errors during the design phase, before layout and production. This way, no schematic, connectivity or stress errors are found in the qualification tests during final verification. CircuitHawk shortens design cycles and time to market, which in turn saves a lot of money and helps bolster corporate reputation. CircuitHawk is the only tool integrating design error detection with electrical stresses, thermal, MTBF and service life prediction at the schematic level, before PCB layout and production.

About

QElectroTech is a free, open source software designed for creating complex industrial electrical diagrams. It supports a wide range of diagram types, including electrical, plumbing, geothermal, air-conditioning, hydraulics, pneumatics, domotic, and photovoltaic systems, among others. With over 8,000 symbols available in the latest version, it allows users to create detailed technical diagrams across various fields. The software is licensed under the GNU/GPL license and is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux platforms. Its features include a flexible symbol library and user-friendly tools for creating professional-grade schematics. The software is supported by contributions from industrial companies and engineers, including Soliton Controles Industriais and C-Born Engineering, which assist in development and translation. Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Excellent cross-referencing system (contacts/coils), easy component creation, and bills of materials that save hours of work.
  • Nothing. I liked nothing about this, but I never got past trying to create a title block, so for me there is NOTHING to like.

Cons

  • The initial learning curve, as drawing measurements are based on pixels.
  • The dev's use of unusual methods to do simple tasks
