About

An ad-blocking extension, which replaces ads with pictures of cats. You can use CatBlock as a standalone ad-blocking extension as well! Available for Google Chrome, Opera and Mozilla Firefox desktop browsers. We've used the freely available code from AdBlock and taken all those ads you don't see, and replaced them with pictures of cats! We, the founders of this AdBlock fork, all have experience with the AdBlock project and have regularly contributed to the project in the past. Like AdBlock before us, the block is 100% open-source, licensed under the GNU GPLv3. Feel free to check out our code at GitHub. We regularly check our support site for any problems or questions you might have. We also have a public Discord server for anyone to join and get help with the block! If you'd rather not see cats, you can use any other set of images you want from Flickr!

About

Falkon is a KDE web browser using QtWebEngine rendering engine, previously known as QupZilla. It aims to be a lightweight web browser available through all major platforms. This project has been originally started only for educational purposes. But from its start, Falkon has grown into a feature-rich browser. Falkon has all standard functions you expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. Above that, it has by default enabled blocking ads with a built-in AdBlock plugin. The very first version of QupZilla has been released in December 2010 and it was written in Python with PyQt4 bindings. After a few versions, QupZilla has been completely rewritten in C++ with the Qt Framework. First public release was 1.0.0-b4. Until version 2.0, QupZilla was using QtWebKit. QtWebKit is now deprecated and new versions are using QtWebEngine. Since version 3.0, QupZilla is no longer developed and new version are released with Falkon name.
