About

CallSheet: Crew Calls is call sheet software for producers, production coordinators and assistant directors on commercial, film, television and photo shoots. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with a browser app for producers on the same account. Build the shoot day from Apple Contacts or a vCard or CSV import: general and personal call times, a full run of day with locations, company moves and meals, and the shoot day weather. Every call sheet carries a Sun Path, the true-north sun bearing and elevation at each location, and a Site Map drawn over satellite imagery for the gate, route, staging and parking. Publishing sends each person a private link and the PDF. Crew install nothing and need no account. The producer sees who viewed and who confirmed, and a change reaches only the people it affects. A Wrap Sheet closes the day with a thank-you and how to invoice. Drafting and PDF export are free. CallSheet Pro adds sending and tracking at $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year.

Cons

  • If a team relies heavily on other specific software for certain aspects of production, Studiovity might not integrate seamlessly, potentially causing workflow disruptions.
  • If a team relies heavily on other specialized software for key aspects of production, integrating Studiovity into their existing workflow might present challenges. While Studiovity offers robust tools for organization and management, it may not be fully compatible with certain third-party software solutions commonly used in the industry. This lack of seamless integration can result in data silos, requiring manual transfers of information between platforms, which increases the risk of errors and inefficiencies. Teams may also face a learning curve as they attempt to adapt their processes to accommodate both systems. As a result, these workflow disruptions could offset the expected productivity gains from adopting Studiovity, especially if the team relies on complex, interdependent software ecosystems.
  • If a team depends on other software for certain production tasks, Studiovity's integration may not be seamless, potentially disrupting the workflow.
  • If a team relies heavily on other specific software for certain aspects of production, Studiovity might not integrate seamlessly, potentially causing workflow disruptions. While the platform offers comprehensive tools, there could be further improvement in cross-software integration to ensure smoother collaboration with other commonly used platforms.
  • While Studiovity is packed with impressive features, there are a few areas that could be improved. For instance, its integration with other specialized production tools is limited, which might disrupt workflows for teams relying on specific software. Additionally, the mobile optimization could use some enhancements; certain features, like shotlists and storyboards, feel less robust on smaller screens than the desktop version. Another drawback is the learning curve for advanced tools like script breakdown and film budgeting, which may be challenging for new users unfamiliar with such software. Finally, the lack of offline functionality can be inconvenient, especially for filmmakers working in areas with unreliable internet access. Despite these shortcomings, Studiovity remains a powerful tool that offers significant value to filmmakers once these hurdles are addressed.
