About
Centinel is a bot and AI crawler protection platform for websites and apps that verifies legitimate search and AI crawlers while detecting scrapers and automated traffic that resemble real visitors. It evaluates the request, browser, connection, and session together rather than relying on a single signal, helping distinguish declared crawlers, basic scripted clients, browser automation tools, spoofed browsers, and commercial scraping APIs. Teams can define an access policy that determines whether traffic should be allowed, challenged, or blocked based on the evidence Centinel collects. It runs alongside existing infrastructure, with a CDN, reverse proxy, or application asking Centinel to evaluate each request before the page or API response is served. It supports environments using Cloudflare, CloudFront, Akamai, Fastly, and similar edge infrastructure without requiring teams to replace their existing stack.
