About

You may find lots of free online backup solution providers. However, most of them only allow you to use the cloud backup services for 15 or 30 days, and ask for money if you want to continue. Luckily, CBackup provides a permanent free cloud backup plan without any cost. Back up your precious files and memories to cloud without spending a penny now! CBackup enables you to combine multiple free cloud storage services into a larger, even unlimited cloud backup space without paying money to buy storage for critical data backup. For example, Google Drive provides 15GB free storage, so you can easily get 45GB backup storage by adding 3 free accounts of Google Drive into CBackup. Dropbox and OneDrive are also supported. Both backup and synchronization are provided to protect your data from loss. Your important data is safe even if you accidentally delete them or your computer crashed.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Cheap only 30-40 bucks for a year off offsite backups. Installed first try. The certificates are from Aoemi i think, or fake.
  • None.
  • Nothing good. Pure confusion. A total waste of my time and a significant data loss for me. Very Depressing.
  • When it worked for the 5 minutes it did, it did what it was supposed to. Kept logging me out and wouldn't sign back in.
  • I was looking for a good cloud backup solution and I thought I found one. I also liked the functionality to sync from cloud to cloud, and the option to combine all clouds to one personal cloud.

Cons

  • I'm probably going to file a chargeback because this isn even worth 30-40 bucks i paid for 1year x 1tb of OFFsite Fire safe storage. But even if you're able to complete a backup before the upload fails you cant trust these people with your data. There's no way to browse files easily. They your accounts linked to their cloud so they can skim your data. When i uploaded my encrypted desktop backup, failed every time. But my macbook backup is clear text folders and it uploaded. Skim
  • Garbage product, Garbage product, Garbage product, Garbage product, Garbage product, Garbage product
  • I lost everything that was previously on my OneDrive. Totally gone forever. Not in the cloud. Not on my C: drive. Incredible. I remember decades ago when trying a new product was not so risky. Now I read the other reviews and see I am not alone. Sad.
  • Keeps logging me out multiple times a day. It wouldn't log back in. Asked for a refund but am just past the time allotted for a refund. But I guess they need the money more....
  • Backup slow and many times runs into errors without clear reason or fault. Backup-task suddenly 'removed' spontaneously by the software, message showed, all gone. No possibility to delete backup sets left in the Cloud, you need to remove them with the cloud-app. also that file that states: Cbackup: do not delete any files in this folder ..... 1TB Cbackup Cloud storage cannot be used as ' cloud' in this software -- WTF ? PCloud not supported.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • I had the OneDrive and Dropbox clients running at login plus the AWS console open half the day for S3. Now all of it mounts as drives and nothing mirrors to disk unless I actually open a file. On a 256GB MacBook that's the difference between constantly playing storage tetris and just not thinking about it. S3 in Finder is the part I'd pay for alone - drag a file into a bucket like it's a folder, no console, no cli.
  • I was able to stop running the native One Drive, Dropbox and Box apps on my Mac, replacing them with the very low profile CloudMounter. This provided a lower memory impact and faster loading time of the OS at login. When I had a question about the software, the response from tech support was prompt and accurate. They even followed up to make sure I was able to implement their solution.
  • Integrates nicely with native Mac Finder. Doesn't get in the way. Not bloated with unnecessary features.
  • Ease of use, it does what it says it’ll do in a simple fashion. Was able to mount my Google Drive effectively.
  • Love the support. The really like to help even it it costs much time to solve. The product is also great as it solves all my network connections online and with servers. It's much faster than the native connection form Mac, especially with webdav.

Cons

  • Ran into some small quirk in the first week, can't recall what exactly - whatever it was, it hasn't come back.
  • Once I had to open the program after launching it to manually mount a cloud directory. This was after migrating my user account to a new computer so some hiccups were to be expected. Fortunately, all my authorizations and permissions carried over.
  • Not much to complain about. Sometimes less is more.
  • None. It did as it claimed without any downsides to it.
  • It could take some time, but eventually it's solved.
