About

Google App Maker has been discontinued. Build apps that fill gaps, like accelerating business workflows or scaling internal operations, with G Suite’s low-code development environment. App Maker is included with G Suite Business and Enterprise editions, as well as with G Suite for Education. Templates, drag-and-drop UI design and declarative data modeling make it easy for IT developers and enthusiasts to build apps that empower your teams. Whether it’s Gmail, Calendar or Sheets, it’s a cinch to connect with the data and services you need to make your apps more powerful. Plus, you can use Apps Script to access Google Cloud Platform and other third-party services. G Suite administrators maintain full visibility over what apps are running in their organizations, how many people are using them, and who has access to them.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Everything. The timing was fast. The price was fair. The knowledge was great. They helped get the app on the App Store and Google Play. It was a really good experience. I am a happy customer.
  • As a white label partner, it has allowed us to easily clone and resell apps. The software is well made and has allowed us to hire new employees and get them up to speed on the platform quickly.
  • I love using this app to create training plans for my company. Not being a very tech savvy person, this app is very simple to understand and creates top notch quality.
  • Overall the platform is great with many features that are available and can be customized if needed. The design interface is very cool as it allows you to make each app different while not looking like a template much like others out there. My support manager Jordan is great to work with as he made things very easy during my training as there are some learning curves to basically understand everything to this platform. If I have any issues or questions they're answered within a reasonable timeframe. Overall the features are really good and designing apps is pretty easy. I have only used this platform for about 6 month. But, I'm looking forward to reaching out to new industries now that I have my hands on this, and open to building apps for basically anyone in the future.
  • I was thoroughly impressed with the support from BuildFire that I received during our migration of our Mobile Claim App to BuildFire. I had many questions throughout the conversion and they were answered in a timely manner and I always had a follow up email to ensure I was happy with the results and to ask if I had any more questions. It was so nice that Sepopo was my main contact for a good portion of the re-creation of our app and she was aware of the issues I was dealing with without have to reiterate to many support people. Kudos to a job well done and I look forward to working with BuildFire.

Cons

  • I don't know it seemed like a really good experience. I don't really have anything bad to say.
  • Sometimes there can be some tickets that may take more time than expected to get fixed.
  • I don't have any cons for this app, everything works smoothly and customer support is some of the best I have experienced.
  • The admin console can be a little confusing with a few glitches here and there. But, like anything once you learn where things are and how things work it gets easier and easier each day, and the glitches get adjusted pretty quickly. The cost is more expensive from what I was paying in the past. But, it's not horrible and offers a lot and is a big upgrade from what I had before. The only thing you will have are additional costs along the way that are necessary in order to use the app platform correctly. You will just need a few third party products to really make this app even better. But, addition fees are expected in order to use this effectively. I would also like to see more loyalty features that are touch-less. Maybe offering QR codes to populate loyalty tabs, rather than punching in a code and having to have others handle your device.
  • It was a huge migration of many companies so it was very confusing in the initial stages and I was unsure if I would continue working with BuildFire. After a few discussions and when the wrinkles were ironed out, I was confident that BuildFire was the company to go with. I'm very happy I made that decision because our app is live and working well even before the deadline which was so important to us.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • This is an easy to use application maker. It also has classes to help people learn the process! Kids should use this too to help them learn!
  • We used this in our outreach to local school-kids, to help introduce them to if/else statements, loops, and such, and just generally get coding / computer science / app development as an option in their minds!
  • Google App Maker has the simplest coding features, that every person no matter their skills can easily run. Also, Google App Maker comes with different and well explained templates, making the program more friendly.
  • Google App has enough templates, which operates as guides regarding the way the program should operates. There is no high requirement for IT skills, and hence, every person may execute the program. The installation of the tool is well simplified.
  • Google App Maker is better application for App development. It have some features which are really good i.e: - Drag-and-Drop Function - Deployment Logs - Built-In Tutorials - App Preview

Cons

  • Nothing! This software does what it promises and allows people who don't know what they are doing to make an application.
  • Maybe it's since improved, but when we used it, there was a rather involved process to get the app onto the testing device (phone or tablet), and all in all I'm not fully convinced the young students got much more than entertainment value out of the experience.
  • Google App Maker ensures apps of all nature are well made, and some maintenance done, hence, no problem.
  • Google App helps us govern all the apps which we want, and the developer has facilitated all the process, ensuring that we obtain the required applications.
  • There are very few cons: which I observed personally i.e: - Ir is only for small business not For medium business. - It is not free of cost platform.
