About

Back-to-One is a blocking and shot list tool for film and television directors and cinematographers, for iPad and Mac. You place actors, cameras, lights and walls on a top-down canvas. From that same setup the app generates the shot list, an animated playback of the blocking, and a viewfinder preview computed from real sensor sizes and focal lengths across six formats including anamorphic. Canvas and shot list stay synchronised both ways. The shot list is grouped by camera setup rather than by scene, so it reads in the order you actually shoot. Every shot carries a time estimate with totals per setup and per day. Shots are ticked off live on set, and dim and red-light modes keep the app readable on a darkened stage. Import a screenplay as FDX or PDF and the project is built for you, every scene and character. Export set PDFs per camera position, call sheets, lighting plots and the shot list as PDF, Excel or CSV.

About

The best color grading software to achieve a cinematic look for your films. Long gone are the days when color grading was an obscure art done only on expensive suites with space-age-looking equipment by very few chosen ones. Nowadays it is expected for every editor and solo filmmaker to be able to deliver a professional-looking grade even if you are rocking an old beat-up laptop. No matter how good you are with lights and cameras, not every shot is going to be perfectly exposed and not all shots will match. when clouds keep constantly moving changing the exposure in your frame. Maybe a mistake was made in the camera with the wrong white balance setting. All this means you’ll need to do color correction to correct for exposure and matching issues. Cinema Grade is a color grading plugin that works with 3 of the most popular editing software out there, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
