About

BTCMiner is a Bitcoin Miner software which allows you to make money with your ZTEX USB-FPGA Module. Since these FPGA Boards contain an USB interface no additional hardware (like JTAG programmer) is required and low cost FPGA-clusters can be build using standard USB hubs. Dynamic frequency scaling / overclocking based on error measurement, i.e. BTCMiner automatically chooses the frequency with the highest rate of valid hashes. One software instance can control many FPGA Boards (up to several hundreds, limited by the number of USB host controllers). New FPGA Boards can be added / removed during runtime. Possibility of enumeration of FPGA Boards and cluster partitioning using that numbers. Power save mode after 5min inactivity of per command. Temperature monitoring and overheat shutdown (USB-FPGA Module 1.15y rev. 2). Overheat protection by shutdown if error rate increase to much.

About

Everything crypto miners need in one powerful dashboard to increase hash rate performance and stability with less downtime and power consumption. RaveOS is an operating system that allows you to configure, monitor, and administer your rigs and ASICs. Control the work of rigs through both the web interface and the mobile application. You can access hash rates, errors, power consumption, and much more regardless of your location. The program will track errors and overload the miner or the whole rig. You can also set access rights to allow normal monitoring of or full access to your rig. Simply burn the image to a disk or USB flash drive and connect to the rig, and the system will automatically detect your hardware, apply settings, and display the settings on the control panel. Setting up firmware and overclocking cards will not be difficult, because you’ll have access to examples of settings for thousands of different GPUs.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • It looks legit... I'm required to add 100 characters to this "Pros:" sections so I guess I could also say that it's not worth using here as well.
  • It has all that its required to monitor and adjust your graphics card while mining. It also has free mining on 2miners pool.

Cons

  • Unable to simply run 2 RX 580 cards. Went through all the setup and settings multiple times. Watched the help videos and checked forums. The web interface would state that the tuning settings were successfully applied. Once the miner starts the cards would not have the tuning settings and would immediately run at full power and crash the miner. Might work for Nvidia or other AMD cards, but the basic RX 580 8GB card is too much for this OS to handle.
  • The theme/GUI is basic and not very user friendly.
