About

Focus on building applications and business logic, and let Azure solve the hard distributed systems problems such as reliability, scalability, management, and latency. Service Fabric is an open source project and it powers core Azure infrastructure as well as other Microsoft services such as Skype for Business, Intune, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Factory, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Dynamics 365, and Cortana. Designed to deliver highly available and durable services at cloud-scale, Azure Service Fabric intrinsically understands the available infrastructure and resource needs of applications, enabling automatic scale, rolling upgrades, and self-healing from faults when they occur. Focus on building features that add business value to your application, without the overhead of designing and writing additional code to deal with issues of reliability, scalability, management, or latency in the underlying infrastructure.

About

Port is an open AI software Factory platform designed for engineering organizations to build, govern, and operate the AI-SDLC. The company’s platform maps services, tools, and standards into a context layer, connects any coding agent through an auto-discovered registry of agents, skills, and MCP servers, and assembles end-to-end factory lines such as idea-to-production, self-healing incidents, and auto-patching CVEs. Risk-based human-in-the-loop review, granular permissions, audit logs, and per-team costs keeps agents governed across every line, while ROI and quality measures self-improve the factory and give leadership factory-wide visibility. This lets teams ship at higher velocity and lower cost without losing control.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • We spent quite some time looking for an internal developer portal, part of our platform engineering efforts, setting up new patterns and getting software delivery faster. This was by far the most advanced technologically and fit our needs since it can easily create a service catalog for K8s.
  • We chose this tool to provide developer self-service to our developers - we needed to both reduce the amount of tools the developers need to use and also to reduce developer error and waiting times for devops and SREs to service tickets. This is already a huge difference, with developers setting up ephemeral environments and asking for temporary permissions to resources.
  • This developer portal solution is a fantastic tool for managing and organizing all of our API documentation. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple for our developers to find the information they need. The ability to customize the layout and branding of the portal is also a huge plus. Overall, this developer portal solution has greatly improved our team's efficiency and productivity. Highly recommend it to any organization in need of a robust API documentation management solution.

Cons

  • Needed to write more Jsons than we planned to, actually submitted a feature request to change this.
  • Some features we’ve asked for, like customized scorecards are still in the roadmap.
  • One minor con is that the search function could be improved to include more advanced filtering options.
